Lost - Season Three

They can't leave at all at this point, sub or not. They'd have to spend days or weeks at preset depths to decompress.

That could be an interesting way to kill them; just shove them out and let them drown or die from the blood poisoning when they surface.

I think you are overestimating the depth the station is at.

Is that cable an anchor of some sort for the "Looking glass"? If it was a power cable that was connected to an island power generator or something, Wouldn't it be ironic if they just had to sever the cable with a stick of dynamic or something to shut off that Jamming device that is in the station. :pinch:

Yeah, that was my first thought.

I find it kind of weird that an underwater station would be jamming a radio signal. Isn't water....you know....bad for radio transmissions? Why would DHARMA build something down there capable of doing that?

Probably initially it was just a Submarine Station...and maybe a place to watch the Sharks and stuff they tested on in the Hydra but once people knew of the Radio Tower they had to use other methods to block out the signal...

9 months :D

The X-Files Nut inside me senses a conspiracy.

Ah, that's it! 9 months from now Sun gives birth to "Son of Smokey" who kicks Ben's @$$, gets Richard's help in putting down Jacob, activates the solar defense rays to wipe out Smokey, sends out on SOS message, then goes home to momma.

I should probably add: Son of Smokey also sends Sawyer and Kate away, and brings Jack and Monica Dean together one star-lit night.

9 months our time is/could be 1 day in their time. Remember, they've only been on the island 90 days but it's been 4+ years for us.... ;)

Sun isn't even showing yet. Sure has a flat stomach for a pregnant woman. Where's the water retention?

Why did the last episode not say anything about Locke? I'd like to know if he really died. I mean the island should have healed him, no?

Wasn't this show suppose to end after this season? and if so I don't see how they will be able to finish it up in another 2 hours (well another 80 minutes). I don't see how they can properly end it that fast. Man I can't wait for Wednesday :)

Actually there's 3 more seasons left. And we'll get back to Locke in the season finale.

Some Finale Spoilers from Digital Spy...

Five spoilerific facts about next week's finale:

1. At least one regular cast member dies.

2. Someone you would never expect to commit a murder does so.

3. Is he a double-crosser? Locke stabs a potential ally in the back.

4. Someone we haven't seen in a while makes a brief return.

5. Unless you've heard what happens already, the final moments of the finale will have your jaw on the floor.

Pretty much confirms those spoilers especially with the stab in the back and if you haven't heard...oh well :(

I dont think that confirms the spoilers i reckon their source was the spoilers ...

Maybe but this is the UK version of the TV Guide man Ausiello or E!'s Kristin who already know what happens...so who knows...I think looking at the chances its at least 80% sure the spoilers will be true now...

He got shot in the area where he has a missing kidney, if I saw it right. So he

survives and reportedly has a confrontation with jack. My guess would be over leaving the island. Locke would obviously not want to get off the island.

Yeah plus if you saw the Lost Answers program from last Thursday they went into how

Locke doesnt want to risk the chance that leaving the Island means his disability comes back...

I don't think so, Rappy.

As Ben discovered, Locke isn't afraid of his disablity, he WAS afraid of his father. And now his father is dead.

(Remember, the island was the "one safe place")

BTW, how the hell did Locke figure out the Sawyer thing? He knew about James/Sawyer from the file Richard gave him, but how did he discover that his dad was the original Sawyer?

He might have known about Coopers previous cons or something, or hell it could have even been in the files that he got?

Dunno really don't think it was that...yeah that probably hindered him moving on but I think its the disability thing...but then again he feels he is wanted by the Island and for the first time in his life.

I just watched Lost Answers S03, it addresses this issue (in a way) and says that Locke still doesn't want to ever leave the island.. So I'm not sure what it is.

Another interesting thing that LA03 confirmed was my original question about how/why Ben became the leader of the natives. damon confirmed that Ben was indeed their new leader, though he didn't explain why.

Oh yeah, they once more confirmed its not purgatory. Not that anyone doubted that any more...

Yeah I really want to know more of the Dharma back story...

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
