Chelsea won the premiership, why did they not get seeded?

The seeders where chosen on Historical winnings and stuff like that and since Chelsea is not a Team with good Historical results they got into the 2nd group

just some crazy UEFA (or FIFA for that matter) ranking rules :p

I think it has something to do with progress in previous seasons in the Champions League/UEFA rankings etc??? Not too sure...

Good draw though, some interesting games coming up!!

Galatasary away for Liverpool will be fun!

CeNo.

It is to do with the UEFA coefficients. Which is basically how well a team has performed in Europe in the past five year's, and since Chelsea have not done that well in the Champions League then they are not in the top seed's.

To see the coefficients click here.

Anyway, the Chelsea v Barca tie will be a good game, especially as this will be the third year in a row the team's have met. I wonder if the Galatasaray v Liverpool match will be at the Ataturk Stadium :p?

It would be nice if a poll was added like last year, and this topic pinned :).

The mods could include the following poll.

Should have a poll that is inclusive of all teams.

Your little list should be edited also.

Arsenal are not in that little list.

I like the Group A draw. Barcelona will most lilely top the group. I still cannot believe AC Milan is allowed to enter this years CL with the match fixing scam they had against them.

Come on liverpool! :D

I agree. AC .Milan are the Italian team I have liked for 30 years, my nan is from Milan, however

it's wrong they got a pitch and it seems the Italian FA have over looked this.
