LOL!!!

I swear that I will cut out the print screen picture of that and along with my purchase receipt will FedEx it to Gates, Alchin and Billy-Bob for a full refund.

this is so utterly tragic and pathetic that I can hardly find words to explain how I feel about MS.

correct on both

wow...you must use both wordpad and the add font dialog quite a bit to care that much

It's the fact they haven't done anything about them for many many many years that is causing people to get pi**ed off about them.

I guess you just don't get it... that's exactly the kind of attitude that allows MS to get away with this kind of BS

I get it and it would be nice if they updated them. I just think it's really stupid how people get on Microsoft's back about stupid little things.

You don't even have to use the Add Font Dialog to add a font. I didn't even know that Windows even had an add font dialog until people like you start b****ing about it.

Can someone tell me if Microsoft intends to fix those two icons in the taskbar? The Audio and Networking icons? They seem so un-Vista'ish. When is Microsoft going to stop using all those Windows 95 and 3.1 icons >_>...

Ugh...Someone in the BETA send them an email and tell me to fix those icons in the retail release version >.<

they are supposed to be like that. they are the static icons that stay even if hide Inactive Icons options is turned on. they are very vista like and i wish other icons would look like that.

well you know... one "stupid little thing" here, one stupid little thing there... pretty soon you stop counting all the stupid little things and start thinking how it is possible for a company with 5 Billion spent in R&D to overlook these things... either that or they are deliberatley acting out of malice.

It's not only the Add Font dialog box which had those old school icons for so long . For years the device manager and computer management and other parts of Windows had them aswell, if no one says anything then Vista would still look like this:

Thank God they are doing something about it, only took them around 10 years. Also, whats going to be funny is IF Microsoft replaces them all they will still keep them hidden deep within the system folder.

Nah, this has been blitzableiter's biteriching point for the last few weeks. Some people just need to vent about things that aren't even completed yet.

My take on his tirade:

The cigarette lighter in my 1997 Intrepid looks the same as the one in the 2006 Durango! WTF?!

 hahaha yeah, you would think they would update them after so many years!

If it's not broken, then why waste resources trying to fix it? I would much rather see Microsoft focus more on the security and operational aspects of Vista, rather than hunting around for old icons.

    • I do not remember anything happening to Apple and Google for bribing people not to make Apps for Windows Phone. Edge barley has a foot print to matter. If the other browser companies want more of the Pie, they need to do better. I use Brave on all my personal device. However in industry, Edge of default, as we can manage it easier with MS tools.
    • On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"
