I'm excited to see a new release of such a great program, however, I agree w/ the comments about the ugly interface! v7 looked very nice and professional while v8 looks like a copy of Norton software as someone else mentioned. They should have kept the look the same and just updated the feature set! They had such a great thing going w/ v7!

I was an official beta tester (now closed) and i must say PerfectDisk is nice, but i still prefer O&O Defrag Professional because it's easier in use and provides you many ways of Defragmentation which suits the hard-disk needs the best!

The UI looks much better than version 7, IMHO. Defragmenting seems to be much quicker as well.

I might post some brand-new, home made screenshots of PD 8 later this day, because the quality of those posted until now is very poor in my opinion.

It does seem a little faster now. The new interface is ok, 7's was better, but its hardly ugly.

It does run two constant background process's instead of one now tho, PDEngine.exe and PDAgent.exe.

Updated to v8.

This is the best defrag soft around.

I noticed a significant increase in speed. It completes the task much faster now.

Still looks ugly, if will not be major improvements or huge bugs fixed in the 8.0 version personally i will stick with the good, old 7.0 :no:
