BigDaddy5
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...06/sfnfra06.xml He claimed that he was retaliating to provocation from the player, who, despite his dismissal, won the Golden Ball award.Zidane speaks Italian from his time with Juventus, and Materazzi the Inter Milan centre-back, said: "I did not provoke him, I responded verbally to a provocation. We both spoke, and I wasn't the first. I held his shirt but don't you think it is a provocation to say that 'if you want my shirt I will give it you afterwards'? "I replied to Zidane that I would prefer his sister, that is true. I brought up his sister and that wasn't a nice thing, that is also true. "Thankfully, there are many footballers who could confirm that much worse things are said on the field." Seriously, Zidane flipped out over that? Man, he really deserves any criticism he got then. Ayepecks
There's no way thats the whole story. I don't know what the whole story is and don't care. Both are lying over what was said to some extent I bet.
Martyn
Guess we will never know what truly happened. Zidane said he does not want to disclose what he said, but it was about his "mother and sister". What we do know is that Zidane was a great player, who should be respected for that if not anything else.

Materazzi is just another worthless soccer thug.
