The battery is better than iPod, thinner than iPod, only 30GB will be release on this holiday season.

Zune software can automatically import your existing music, pictures and videos from iTunes and Windows Media? Player in a variety of formats, including your existing playlists and song ratings, as permitted by the online service from which it was purchased.

I think Zune software just like iTunes.

Comparing 30gb to 30gb.

iPod screen (2.5 inch) < Zune screen (3.0 inch)

iPod resolution (320x240) = Zune resolution (320x240)

iPod height (4.1 inch) > Zune height (4.4 inch)

iPod width (2.4 inch) = Zune width (2.4 inch)

iPod depth (0.43 inch) > Zune depth (0.58 inch)

It's a little bit thicker than the current iPods. From the look of it, it was somewhere between the original iPod and the new ones. It's feels lighter than it looks. The screen is virtually identical to my PPC-6700 Pocket PC Phone.

Yeah, it's a somewhat minor-seeming detail, but no one seemed to know how much damned battery life the Zune was going to have at launch. They were pretty tight lipped about it, but our new pal Matt Rosoff, a Microsoft analyst, let us know that according to his contacts, with wireless off we can expect a 12 hours of music playback at 128Kbps, 3.5 hours for video playback, and 4.5 hours when running a slide show. Compare that to the 30GB iPod's 14/4 hours and the 80GB iPod's 20/6 hours, and it's a little difficult to fully envision the payoff for that added thickness and height. Still, remember: bigger screen, wireless, bigger screen, wireless. Ah well, we'll just hope upon hope that'll be something the fix before release in a couple months.

LOL

I expect it to be a bad release, because it is the first gen. I mean, the iPod 1g was absolute crap. But 12 hours is way too low for me, because my music is mostly from 192-320kbps and we all know that the numbers given for battery life are always a little off. So I'm thinking 10 hours. I put a lot of weight on battery life, so 10 hours isn't that much for me. But we'll see.

I guess this can be countered with what MS has said about its rapid recharge rate. Oh wel lets wait and see till november

    • Thanks free chatgpt. The issue is, with most browsers, is you shouldn't need tools to remove anything. It is the whole point of extensions. The only browser so far to man up and be honest that it needs money to function is Brave Origin. Don't like the monetisation and code bloat, have a clean browser for a one off $ charge. Firefox used to be that, but now it is a code bloat browser, hiding AI.
