hey guys this is my first post (w00t w00t). i wrote a program to extract music from your iPod to your pc in case of a hardware failure. I couldnt find a free one on google and it seemed like a fun project so i figured what the heck. anyway, this program is still in beta, though it is fully functional. So if you would, please give it a try and give me any errors/suggestions/praise that you feel are due. thanks ^_^

the link to upload wasnt working for some reason so i put it on my webserver iPodExtractor.exe

oh man *slaps forehead* i forgot to mention that you must either enable the ipod for disk access or kill iPodService.exe. this is something i hope to fix in a later release =\

and yes i think video will be not this stable release but the next one when i redo some of my code. thanks for all the suggestions :D

Robgig1088 : As soon as it finishes D/Ling (27%), would you mind if I RARed and uploaded it to something thaat can give people full speeds :p?

A COUPLE OF POINTS THAT MUST BE READ!!!!:

firstly, the ipod must be set to "harddrive mode" in the itunes preferences.

secondly, as of now, it does not check to see if the folder it is trying to make already exists (thus indicating the presence of that album already) so you will have duplicate songs if you extract an album you already have!

thirdly, the option to put all the songs into one directory does not work. i figured nobody would use it and i wanted to get this release out asap so i could figure out what else i need to fix.

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
