I'm doing it as much to get into shape as I am to enjoy the fun of racing. The city I live in has a lot of good bike shops but as usual with the industry, the markups are really high. I'm gonna need some new gear: clipless pedal shoes, shirts and shorts, heart rate monitor, and bike tools and maintenance stuff. Prob about $500 in gear + a new bike :) My old bike is really worn out and I don't trust it much for heavy racing. Anyways, I'm wondering if any of you can suggest a good source to order stuff on-line in the hopes I can save some money. I was going through a US reseller a few years back but wasn't super happy with prices and mainly the selection. I'm graduating this year from university, moving out and am planning to move real close to the local mtb hills (there's hours of trails to go through. Can't wait!!!!
