It does sort of make out the family is all Bill Gates like knowing IP's off by heart...thats pretty useful for hacking and getting around stuff but why would she just know that...those parts let the show down!!!

bah, that last episode was the last I'm going to watch, i don't like the direction the show is going. I was hoping to see a great show about a destroyed world at world war 3 with a small town trying to survive, but it's not like that at all, it's just a soap.

maybe I'll watch it again when the real action begins :p

  • 4 weeks later...

One of the arcs of the show was pretty lame was April being pregnant. If she knew she was pregnant before the nukes... why would she file for divorce? It came out of nowhere and didn't make sense; but alas, this is tv and so those kind of things don't matter.

  • 2 months later...

now that the show's back, time to revive the thread, for those still watching anyway :)

anyone else notice how badly they fubar'd the chronology? Jake's dad and brother were in the bar at night and it said "24 hours before the bombs" and then the next morning the bombs went off...am I missing something?

Yeah I noticed alot of plot holes in that episode...for example how Hawkins and his ex wife are getting along now...no reason how they patched it up...its good its back tho...hopefully with some answers...so is Hawkins a terrorist? and obviously he has a bomb in his garage in Jericho and also Jake knows those Ravenwood guys...

Well, he was obviously supposed to deliver a bomb, but decided to save his estranged family from the D.C. bomb instead. And now that woman is in Jericho, apparently to settle the score.

It has been two months, and they WERE a family once. It's not inconceivable that they've just started to patch things up during the course of the season. We've seen Hawkins make an attempt to connect with them a number of times through the season thus far.

Also, I don't think Jake knows the Ravenwood guys that he met on the bridge, but he knows OF Ravenwood, which was apparent back in the fall. Now we know that he was contracted by them to run weapons in the middle east. i wouldn't be surprised to see more Ravenwood guys track him down eventually. Or the feds for that matter...if there are any left that is.

Before the Bombs episode was great we got to see what all the people were up to. I think its hard to make an episode in one town in the same old condition with the same people so this was a break away from the norm. Hopefully the writers have some twists up their sleeves when the show returns to after the bombs.

Which can only mean that it's going to be used as a threat or bargaining chip at some point. I can see Hawkins in a situation where he says, "If you ..., I can level this entire town"

Yeah that or the people who organised the whole thinking will come for it because dont forget at end of half season finale they said "See you soon" because he lied...wonder if that was just the woman tho :s

Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it.
