Is anone else getting a strange amount of random people sending them the message: "900 (followed by the MS points symbol)"

Ive got it like 10-20 times in the last couple of days. I dont understand it.

Negative.

Hmm. I deleted most of them before I went to work, but Ive come back in and Ive got a few more:

I dont get it. I got one from someone I used to play Gears with so hopefully he'll answer me, the random guys seem to just ignore me when Im asking about it.

thought you did this like a year an a half ago? were you time traveling again?

as for me, revisiting games from 2007 and before as well. Mass Effect is such a joy, having left it alone since Xmas 07 or so, it's like playing it again for the first time. Will probably also get the Bring the Sky Down DLC. Borrowed Saint's Row 2 from a friend, what a let down. I can see what Volition was trying to do, it's like a parody of a GTA game, but not for me. The problem is that it's a parody of a parody, so the result is quite ridiculous. There's non of the commentary or depth of GTAIV. Plus visually it looks like a prev-gen release. Not for me!

I was referring to the Mythic Map Pack achievements.

Bought PURE yesterday for $10.81

Going to get some achievements in that game, should be a nice 1000 through time.

Well I hope nobody cheated on GoW2 achievements because MS will reset your GS to zero!

I'm not familiar with the "glitching" that they're talking about, but I love to see justice carried out on cheaters!

Finally broke the 40K barrier thanks to HAWX. Gosh, that was really painful, that was the longest 10K streak I have done, much boring that the previous three ones.

Now I need some well-deserved R&R and some new games too: the only game I am excited about right now is Bioshock 2.

As far as the GoW2 Glitchers are concerned, Nya Nya Nya, serves you right!

you're right vyk, the last month or so has been pretty slow for games. have had a streak of really poor titles which i didn't even bother with beyond the first hour or so. now trying Velvet Assassin, not very hopeful...

congrats on the 40K my friend!!!

EDIT: and vyk, check the standings...i'm one below you! who'd have thought! Don't worry, there's no way i can catch up to you plus i'm sure one of the guys down the line will move up, but it is funny.

just a matter of how many games you played in that time. if you stick with a few you enjoy, then your score output will drop, but you will get more fun out of each, so there's always a trade off.

anyway, i think the leaderboard is doing well, we're racking points at an impressive clip. too bad most of you people don't post very often!

Ok ok ok, here's my latest.

Completed all that I could in Gears 2 without forking out money for the additional map packs (including Seriously 2.0, bwahaha), so I'm now I'm finishing up with Left 4 Dead. I, albeit cheaply, got the 53K kills using the always melee behind the door in the last chapter of No Mercy while the Boomer spewed on me method. Took quite a few hours, especially since I lost about 17K kills by not completing the act. Now I'm going for the remainder of the achievements, though I'm doubtful about the two Expert ones. After this I'll probably pick up Halo 3 or finally start BioShock. Or, if I'm lucky enough, will go achievement farming with a group for each 100 kill achievement in Gears 1.

I have finally completed L4D and that awful Seriously-type achievement and got the 1000 points. That's my second 100% game, the first one being Burnout Paradise before the DLCs. I am so glad that I can use the L4D DVD for ball trap.

Back to Fallout 3 ...

    • They are neither of those things They cause virtually zero issues to end users as when leveraged correctly they are invisible. They aren't 'DRM', because, they're nothing to do with DigitalRightsManagement Some Anti-Cheat services I did see are starting to *use* the TPM to store creds/tokens, which it's for, but it's not involved beyond that. I would suggest doing some reading, both articles are fairly lengthy, but for MS Learn they're actually pretty decent at explaining the concepts.
