congrats on all the accomplishments, sounds like some people had a fruitful weekend games-wise. as for UFC, agreed that the achievements for that one weren't the best. Prince of Persia is OK, i just don't like the fact the achieve descriptions all start with "congratulations". also having the same pic for all of them is pretty lazy on their part! Some artist missed out on a payday because of that.

anyone know when MyGC will be back?

Hated PoP. It was cool until I got to the point where they want me to go through ALL the levels, scouring for light seeds so I can unlock the last 2 levels. No way in hell I'm doing that!!

it's not that bad, you need like 540 total to unlock the final power, right? i don't think after that there's any need to bother with the light seeds short of getting the achievements. yes it does get old, yes they shouldn't have made it a game device, but it's not that bad.

I duuno, I just really hate things like that. Like I already got all the ones that I though were reasonable to get. I don't want to go searching for an hour/using some guide on the net just to get enough to continue. That's just not my idea of fun at all.

added 140 points with the Mirror's Edge DLC, still need to do speedruns for chapter 5 to 9 and attain a lot of stars in time trials. probably not gonna happen, I remember doing the speedrun for chapter 4 took me about 6 hours of practicing.

Mirror's Edge is a similar case to Prince of Persia, they both require things that many won't consider fun in order to get the full experience. i agree with you jianbing, it should not have been such a major focus in the game - collecting those seeds.

See, I thought that was the coolest part about the game. (I got all 1001) And I got my full money's worth out of Mirror's Edge, spent so much time on perfecting every level that it may have taken me even longer than, say, Fable II. Though when I picked up ME yesterday again I got through the entire story in less than 2.5 hours now

well at least the gamercards are back. i've been reduced to bumming Transformers off a friends, it looks like an OK mech game so far. not too much to play at the moment, tried the Ghostbusters demo and it wasn't my type, but not bad. Anyway what's everyone else up to?

Well I broke down pretty quick on that whole no buying more games for a bit thing. Found Halo Wars on my local used website for $20 and couldn't say no :p. It's surprisingly good, though it seems like it's going to be pretty short.

really, Overlord 2? thought the first one was very so-so. what's good about the sequel?

It's just fun to play imo, the story is pretty funny, the minions are hilarious and there is actually a bit of RPG elements in there with upgrading your gear and managing the minions, I never played the first one, but this has some depth to the gameplay as well, with the different kinds of minions you can think out a different strategy for every other situation, which is done pretty well imo. The game itself might not be extremely polished but that doesn't take away that it's just a funny game.

doesn't sound like my cup of tea remy. enjoy it in the meantime.

jianbing, HW was a good game. i'm already getting nostalgic for it, and it was only like six months ago...not that it was that great, but i was pleasantly surprised. it isn't the longest single player campaign in history, no.

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
