I agree with Rookas, COD4 was much better than COD WAW.

Congrats Ji@nBing on Verteran. It was a joke in some places as your men only advanced upwards if you did so you were left with respawning enemies over and over again.

there's quite a lot of aimboting and wallhacking going on in COD4 on the 360, but by no means is that the majority of people. the less said about it the better - you don't want to dignify those juvenile idiots.

No there isn't, stop talking rubbish and learn to play the game properly. People can exploit a few selected map glitches but there is no way in hell you will be able to "wallhack" or use "aimbot" beside the weak aim-assist in the game. Proper use of sound and actually knowing how to aim is the key.

Google it. There actually ARE cheats for COD4 on 360. It's a modified ISO and you have to have a modded 360 to play it. I can see these people getting banned in the next ban wave though as obviously the ISO wouldn't be an exact copy of the original and MS should be able to detect it.

ignore him, he's trying to pick a fight. he's too young to realize the ramifications of what happens when someone decides to give it to you. at the end of the day, he always ends up quoting me - not the other way around.

as for WaW, i prefer the single player campaign - it was longer and had more variety to it. the game overall, including the MP, was also more mature - i like the fact it's the first COD to have the F word in it. But yes, overall COD4 is much more addictive and compelling.

hats off to you for doing that, on veteran those games are just silly hard. by the 100th grenade tossed my way, which was like five minutes into the campaign, i was "**** it".

True, theres also something else that ****es me off. Since CoD 2 (possibly since CoD 1 but i havent played that one) there are some parts in the games where if you dont move beyond a certain point the enemies just keep coming and coming indefinitely... it's so unrealistic and stupid.

I did and found nothing. I'm really interested in seeing a proper source for this because I have never heard or seen anything on this subject. I played Call of Duty 4 for a long time on the 360 and never, ever met a single cheater using aimbots, wallhacks or anything of that sort. Even that supposed "cheat" that lets you carry over the single-player unlockable cheats and use them in multiplayer, never seen that either, haven't even heard any of my friends report seeing it.

The people that complain about cheats are usually terrible at the game and fail to grasp the concept of 'skills', if you'd like to call it that.

EDIT: Some more goggling reveals posts like these on people wanting to try out a "Modified ISO" online;

modding the iso means you NEED to know the public and private RSA keys to even resign the map and thats if your doing a simple iso mod

if your going to mod the game off the hdd than you also need to know the PRIS/live keys to sign the con its in which no one knows

thus making your theory impossible

"neoadorable", would you please stop acting so butthurt every time someone snaps you back to reality. You always talk about how young people are or how immature they are, yet you are the one that acts like a 5 year old.

There actually aren't infinite spawns in WAW, just a whole crapload of them. What I would do is move up to trigger the next spawn, then hang back a little bit and keep picking guys off with a rifle until they finally stop re-spawning. Then move up and take out the remaining guys with a machine gun while tossing back/dodging grenades. Repeat. Usually there is a specific route or piece of cover you have to use too, so it takes a lot of trial and error.

"sethos", i'm not passive-aggressive like you, if you want to go at it with me, i'll be happy to oblige - and not just on the forum if that's your thing. but to give you a quick life lesson, it's always "sethos" going out of its way to respond to my posts. never the other way around. someone's infatuated.

Lawl ok.

Now go practice some Call of Duty 4 ;)

it's not that important to me to be good, i'm not 17 - hopefully you make it to 18. at my age one's used to losing much more than a team deathmatch map. besides, i don't mind admitting that i do have my good games on COD4. why just yesterday on good old Bog with a couple of AH-64's and an air strike i ended up 30:9. first time i broke 30. of course the next map i was 8:12 or something like that. just goes to show you, in this life, you never know! oh what am i saying, forgot to take my pills again.

EDIT: sorry, guess "sethos" is 21 now. real aged. but since "sethos" came into this discussion with no other purpose than to cause trouble, and since "sethos" is such an accomplished, skilled gamer, maybe "sethos" can turn off privacy settings on that gamertag so the rest of us can take notes and improve so we don't have to whine about cheating. see, i really don't have anything better to do. thank goodness for the global recession.

you can say that again - some of the downloadable stuff is almost full price now but still only 20% of the gamerscore potential...well maybe that's an exaggeration, but still, it's probably time to go up to 500 GS for stuff like Shadow Complex and Battlefield 1943.

Got Mirror's Edge for $15 today. It's pretty cool. No more new games for a bit now though (I think/hope :p ). I still have Red Faction, Banjo, Dead Space, and Price of Persia (if I decide I ever want to play that game again, grrrr!!) that I need to finish before buying anymore new games.

I've got a bunch of stuff to play, but I just haven't had time. When I do have time to play I just feel like shooting people, so CoD is about all I've played for a while. I did get BF1943 but I'm not crazy about it, but it's decent for a $15 game. Once I missed my target of 50K by July I just stopped caring about my GS. Between 60 hours of work a week and the gf my gaming time is very very low. I'll have to do something soon or I'll drop out of the top 10, if I haven't already, need to check.

looks like mygc has gone haywire again.

rookas, sorry you missed your GS deadline, but there's always August. I hope to be at 45K by the end of the summer myself. of course COD4 is addictive, robbing us of much needed scoring time. but that's them shakes.

Yeah, COD4 needs to give out achievement points for every few hours played. It's a GS robber!! I've managed to resist it the past few weeks though. I've got too many games to catch up on.

    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Through the MLT framework, Kdenlive integrates many plugin effects for video and sound processing or creation. Furthermore Kdenlive brings a powerful titling tool, a DVD authoring (menus) solution, and can then be used as a complete studio for video creation. Kdenlive supports all of the formats supported by FFmpeg or libav (such as QuickTime, AVI, WMV, MPEG, and Flash Video, among others), and also supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios for both PAL, NTSC and various HD standards, including HDV and AVCHD. Video can also be exported to DV devices, or written to a DVD with chapters and a simple menu. Visual effects include options for masking, blue-screen, distortions, rotations, colour tools, blurring, obscuring and others. Configurable keyboard shortcuts and interface layouts. Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. Project files are stored in XML format. An archiving feature allows exporting a project among all assets into a single folder or compressed archive. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
