it's not bad for achieves. also, i can confirm Civ Rev is addictive, and the achievements make sense.

so how are we for goals this holiday season? we still have two slots available in the leaderboard.

jonny and remy have realistic goals, not so sure about slane and rob, seems a bit high don't you think! Don't forget this is gonna be a lean holiday season.

personally i'd be content with 50K, but with this new job being what it is it doesn't seem likely.

but i did mean our collective goals - and we still have two openings on the leaderboard.

Go all out or don't go at all. I'm only 16kish away. And to take it a step further, I won't to break the 2000k achievement mark and break 20 games completed mark.

Current Gamerscore: 3,762,300

Current Achievements: 175, 417

I'm down for the 4 mill and 200k marks, but I think some (NEO!) may think it's a bit high (pfffft), so how about 3.9 mill and 190k achievements by years end?

slane i insist, as much as i'm cheering you on, 16K in three months is a lot. i think my best clip ever was 2.5K/month.

Alright, 3.9 mill GS and 190K achieves by end of the year midnight. don't forget we have a reduced holidays season so far, we need to play it conservative..

Assuming I can knock these games out in a few days and Gamefly continues to be quick, here's what I'm looking at of some fairly easy 1000's not to mention playing old games + new ones I/roommate purchase.

Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2008

Disney/Pixar's UP

Hannah the Movie

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Jumper: Griffin's Story

Lost: Via Domus

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

Fallout 3 (PC(still debating whether or not to purchase this))

All above can be done in under 5 hours (Fallout has PC codes taht don't affect achievement that make your more or less god). So that's 7 or 8k right there. And that would put be just about halfway. Now add in all the other games I'll be playing + finishing old ones + ones not listed above. I think I can do it.

hannah montana again?! well i should have known you're the kind of guy that'd get his money's worth out of gamefly...and i now understand your confidence. all the more power to you brah, however i have to say that's not organic gaming in my book. won't those games bore you?

Sure, but work bores me also. Yet I continue to work because of the goal work allows me to reach (money!). Playing triple-F titles always me to get closer to my goal of 50k, then I shall do it. And besides most of the games *should* only take 5 hours. So I can hopefully knock 'em all out in one or two sittings.

I think your just scared i'll pass you! :p

no, i'm really not, told you months ago i felt weird overtaking you - it was an unholy moment. the universe must be corrected and you need to be ahead for justice to be carried. besides, i'm heading overseas for work in a couple of weeks, so there will be little gaming in my near future.

no my shundi, but i'll go for one muhahahaha. Not from you, that's digusting!

serious note: this job is in the mideast if anyone cares to know, six month assignment. can't say much more...

No idea what the means. Even after 9 years, my Mandarin is still rudimentary at best?: .

Congrats and good luck on the new job. Hope you're going to a safe place. I have an old highschool chum that's a merc in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has a lot of interesting stories to tell when he occasionally comes back to Canada. Doesn't sound too fun. Makes a crapton of money though.

8K is a ways away...can you get there by Jan 1st?

jianbing, you know shundi, just means bro. the idea with these mideast jobs is making money and not staying too long. but i won't be a merc like your friend, it's enough if i say that! the location is safe and has quite a few amenities, plus a nice view of the gulf. i'm just worried about recreation. haven't worked in a few months and it'll be a tansition. plus, both gaming and drinking are an unknown quantity for me over there, so there's that.

Haha, actually I don't!! I know brother as xiong di or ge ge. The Chinese I know was taught to me by my ex, and I was always too lazy and complacent to study any at all, so my vocab is limited to what she decided to teach me :p.

Good to hear you're going to a safe place. You thinking of trying to bring your 360? I doubt you can buy them over there...

Edit: spelling mistakes.

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
