Broke 38, 39, and 40K last night with some easy sports games. Didn't realize NBA 2K6 and NBA Live 06 were that easy to obtain. NBA 2K6 was kind of fun, and now I have NBA 2K7 to look forward to once I'm done with Madden 08 (7 more achievements). 41K is around the corner.

Those were the days when sports games had easy all offline achievements . Not these ridiculous online achievements you see now a days or did over the last few years in sports games, especially NBA games.

And the lovely pay-to-play online, if you receive the game gamefly/bought used. No more EA sports games for me, unless it's something I'm going to put some serious (50+ easily) hours into.

In fact, now that I think about it, there isn't one game I bought and kept that didn't keep my attention for a minimum of 50 hours (spare the crapfest of MW2).

@Mattachew - Online achievements for 2k7 are unobtainable (legit like) due to servers being closed.

I'm not too concerned about the online achievements. It would be great, but I've accepted their dead fate. I have two achievements in Madden 07 that I can't get, one to play online, the other to import a 2007 draft class from NCAA Football 07. The game is also dirt cheap but I highly doubt I'll get it.

right you are mistical, just look at FIFA World Cup 2010, a lot of it is online - just playing the main campaign modes won't net too many points. they learned their lesson, those early games aren't coming back. i doubt MS will let another Airbender come out, either.

EDIT: congrats to mathachew for passing 40K, that's some nice upward movement there.

Finally got the 100G achievement for completing Army of Two: 40th Day on the hardest difficulty.

My advice to people is don't play that game it just is so appalling that it makes you angry and makes you shout at the tv for how sh*t it is!

now it's King Kong...there's no end to this, he will stop at nothing! Futurism best look out cause you're gunning for that 11th slot.

hopefully i'll be able to catch up to old Rook as he's taking it easy up there and not moving much recently, this could be my window to make a break.

I thought every game had that affect on you, Rob?

You know I won't let that happen. I'm still sitting on a large pile of games that I've barely touched. I can make a big jump anytime I want!

Do it. (and if there's any MP let us know I'm always down to boost older games)

All these horrible 1000 games via Gamefly is starting to make me depressed. Think I need to remove some in the hopes of snagging some triple A titles or something.

King Kong is horrible and way to long. :( And now finished. 32 completed games. Which puts me into 11th on MGC. :)

That should be the full list of all the games on MGC leaderboard that have a minimum of 40 gamertags with nobody achieving the full points (including DLC).

If anyone is looking for an easy 1000 Gamerscore to add then add Toy Story 3 to your list of games. I'm nearly done, achievements are ridiculously easy and fast. It will be a fast rental, probably even in a day if you play a lot and are good at such easy games.

So Rob there made a goal on TA (it's an awesome site!) of 100k by the end of the year.

I went ahead and made two:

75000k by the end of the year

70% Completion rate by the end of the year

First one, I'll snag no problem, second one going to be challenge. I'm roughly 58%, so gotta add another 17% to it. Time to start completing/playing older games.

congrats to matha on the 43K, nice going. and to slane and Rob on their goals for the year, very realistic at the rate you two are going. i'm standing by my objective of 62K by Dec 31st. if i hit 60K by the time Black Ops comes out i'll be on track.

Jonny - it's about frokking time you came back into this, in my mind tho you'll always be thought of as "4K kid".

Rookas - heh heh speaking of mental images i had one of you, sitting on a pile of games like Conan in the sequel or that thinking man statue from Denmark. best get moving bro, i'm only 2K away...

Hope so. Been playing LOTRO more than I should be, have to get my MMO fix in. Though with Gamefly never sending me games I want to play and only sending me "easy" 1000 games, it's not to bad.

well i did warn you this is the kind of stuff you can expect from GF...but that should be right up your alley heh heh.

meanwhile, Crackdown is one for chieve lovers...not because it's easy or anything beyond the first 150 points or so, but because it pokes so much fun at the whole scene.

Bought a few things on the market place earlier;

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project - Should be an easy 200G

Worms 2 DLC - should be an easy extra 50G

Monkey Island 2: SE - Don't care about the achievements on this game as it is one of the best games of all time, probably only one I won't get thou and that'll be the three hour speed run

    • Indeed - drives me mad - usually because Refresh is hidden in the full menu.
    • Firefox has had rounded corners for many years. I take it you're not a fan of modern browsers?
    • The problem is in the fundamentals of how businesses are allowed to operate and the change should happen in the basics and certain consumer friendly and moral practices should be enforced by law. This would fix so many things, not just this ages old default browser issue which is a tiny drop in the backut that includes a flood of privacy and other issues.
