Got the full 1,000 on Red Dead Redemption.

Michael on Fallout 3 just make sure you have a save with good karma right before the rank achievements, then its easy to do bad things to get it to neutral and then rank up, then do it again for evil. Saves playing it through again! I got all my achievements on one play-through of Fallout 3.

That was my plan, but I screwed up. So I'll have to do another play through playing as Neutral and do it for bad. I screwed this up a year ago and gave up playing it, figured I'd go in and finish the first play through snagging everything including the DLC stuff, then do a quick (hoping 10-15) play through to snag the 6 achievements I'll have left.

How'd you rate Red Dead on difficulty for the 1000 and length?

Michael? heh heh never would have had you pegged for a Mike. Good to know! But Ben 10? i mean i told you i wanted you to stay ahead on the leaderboard, but seriously, BEN 10?!

And where's PabUK? He needs to add the fresh recruits, we need the beef for the grinder in time for the holidays muhahahaha.

It's Michael not Mike. :p

Hey man, Ben 10 actually has been one of the better "easy 1000" games I've played. It's kinda of enjoyable (once you get the grinding out of the way). Only downside is the levels are super long. I got this and Brave: A Warrior's Tale to go through this weekend. Though dunno how much I'll get done, seeing as I'm working all weekend. Wanted to get both knocked out of the way.

wowwow Rob, that was a 1000 point week, not bad.

OK Michael, what kind of game is Ben 10? How long is it? Might consider it, the show isn't that bad, watched it with the nephew quite regularly and it was good for fun and laughs. BTW Alpha Protocol is a pretty cool game, but not great for pointage.

It's one of the better family games. You can get 620gs with a littler over/under an hour worth of grinding on the first level. Follow the collectible guide for levels 1-6 and then beat the last two and you have the full 1k. Only downside is that the levels are long. It should be a 5-10 hour game. Just depends on how fast you rush and if you do rush don't screw up on the puzzles, as with most of 'em if you do screw up you got to start back at the beginning of the puzzle.

Finished Ben 10 putting me at 54654. That makes 29 completed games out of the 100 I've played. Wish that number was higher.\

Brave: Warrior's Tale should be avoided unless you can stand playing games with horrible camera's that in the first two minutes of the tutorial had me wanting to scream. And I guess I could tough it out, if it wasn't for the 48 totems you have to collect along the way. /sigh

thanks for the tips, my get into Ben 10...

not sure how you guys got 1000/1000 in Red Dead, been playing forever and have like a hunnert points in that one...not trying to the achieves but it seems like not that kind of title. And 29 completed games out of a hundred is damn impressive, i've played more than that and only have two 100% achievements completed!

So with the combined efforts of HP: HBP and Fallout 3, I'm rolled over 56k. :)

I'm "done" with Fallout 3 now. Just got to go do a mope up to snag those last two(4) karma achievements, which while doing DLC, shouldn't take that long (5 hours max I'm thinking).

Anyone who plans to play HP:HBP for points, it's fairly easy and story mode is straight foward (Select is your friend), once you beat the game you have Free Roam where you can collect all crests and do all the club achievements. I'd suggest though getting as many mini-crests as you can, while playing story mode (you need 25,000 of 'em), so afterwards you only need to follow one of the several guides (video and written) to snag the other 125 crests and good luck on those damn quidditch achievements.

took me a while to figure out what heck HP:HBP was. thank goodness for gamercards! so...time to call your goals for the remainder of the year. hopefully will be at 62K by midnight, Dec 31. hopefully, if all goes well!

I'm shooting for 7500k by my birthday of August 11th. I'm 39.1% to that. Don't think I'll get it, but meh. I'll just change it for end of the year. Gotta love the goal section on TA.

And time to start playing PC Fallout 3 for an additional 1550 GS. Using all the cheats on PC version gonna make this time a breeze. And apprantly you can just type in "addachievement 01" up to 53 to snag 'em all in like 30 seconds, which is perfectly legit and becomes the easiest game to max. Only avatar is easier, since you have to type to snag all Fallout 3 ones.

hahaha that's going to be a tough one even for you slane...that's 20K in six months. you've only gained like 4K the last three let me remind you...

you too Rob, not sure that's doable. and what's going on with the silent majority out there? and where's our illustrious leader PabUK, there's people waiting to be added? don't forsake us!

30 completed games. Finished HP:HBP. Those damn Quidditch achievements were a pain. Worse than running around getting 25,000 mini-crests and 125 crests.

Gamefly sent me TMNT in, so I can re-play that and hope the final boss doesn't glitch on me again so I can snag the last achievement in it and have another game completed.

Also moved ahead of Rookas to put me into 12th on MGC leaderboard. :) Shouldn't be to long before I break the top 10. :)

come on breakeven, just sign up already. we need every point we can get! you can also drop PabUK a line and he'll just add you to the MGC leaderboard.

slane, passing Rookas was easy for you...the guy has become a total MW2 head, i think that's all he plays anymore. no points in that one!

Finished the 5 easy (though annoying-ish) achievements in MLB 2k6. Putting me at 57540!

Putting me into 4th place on the TA Leaderboard and still chilling at 12th on MGC.net Leaderboard.

Here's to hoping Gamefly sends me Just Cause 2 or Alan Wake next.

Picked up several sports games from Gamestop for $2-3 each, so I just broke 37K and am on my way to 38K soon enough. Also got my hands on Halo 3: ODST and Fallout 3: GOTY, so I'll finally be able to get the mythic achievements and get 100% again with Fallout 3.

I play it on occasion, more lately because of the map packs, but that's pretty inaccurate! I've been playing more Blur than anything else lately, and I've finally started getting into Red Dead. I just haven't been going for achievements in anything as I haven't had the time or interest. Between work and band I've been keeping too busy, gaming has gone down in priority for me. I'm still a contender though, I'll at least try to stay in the top 15!

rookas and mathachew back on the leaderboard thread? it's the apocalypse, i say! good having you guys back, and good to have an update on your scoring. slane is completely on a roll now, we can't stop him. better rally the troops for a comeback...but i'm like you rookas, have not been aiming for chievos even though gaming on a daily basis. most of the games so far this year have not been big scorers.

and yes there are other distractions in life, but as long as we all stick together more or less, i'm happy!

hey slane, MLB 2K6? dude, have standards for pete's sake!

Well made it to 54K finally...that 53K era seemed to last forever. thanks to RDR it's onto bigger and better things...let's hope i can do 62K by year's end.

slane you're really rocketing up there aren't ya, the top ten guys need to keep an eye on that hot stuff....

    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

    • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
    • People in the '50s and '60s had the same attitude, and we're still here over a half century later.
    • So after some fiddling I was able to get it to run at a pretty stable 30FPS. I'm slightly surprised about how much fiddling I had to do to get there though given what I thought was reasonable hardware: Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 16 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon RX 7700S I think I could do it better if I use Linux rather than Windows, Windows RAM usage is stupid without stripping the system down. But once I got it working in a reasonable state, it was so awesome! I felt like a new Bond! If anyone has any advice to get things going a bit smoother FPS-wise, I'd appreciate it.
