Sooo GoW2 got me over 60k and moved me into 9th. I'm fairly sure we lost someone in the top 10 to make me jump two spots. The only pain-in-ass achievements left in Gears is all the public matches wins.

I am apparently no longer in the leaderboard (was #2). So that would be me, awesome. :o

Must be that glitch Neo was talking about.

Anyways just saw my GS goal of 75k by my birthday is 15 days away, which means I need some odd like 950 points a day to hit that mark. :/

I have no idea why some members seem to have been randomly removed from the MyGamerCard leaderboard. Have already added back a few who have PM'd me. Let me know if it has happened to you also.

PS: Don't forget to add yourself to the TrueAchievements leaderboard if you haven't done so yet. :)

this thing with the leaderboard is very disconcerting - we seem to have lost like 25 members over the last couple of weeks. i appreciate Pab keeping up with it and doing his best to resolve the issue. have emailed MGC, let's see what they say about it.

congrats to those who've been achieving in the meanwhile - especially to young Jonny there with his 20K...it only took ya three years!

Hey Jonny, if i can't joke around then what's the point. you know i love ya, dude

as for helping you with the co-op, sorry, but i don't feel like getting back into RDR just yet heh heh...i'm sure someone else here will sign up for duty.

meanwhile, looks like Slane finally broke 60K...and i'm still closing in on Rookas. So far, yet so close at hand muhahahahahha

jonny, first off congrats on the 20K again, you lived up to your goals and even exceeded them, nicely done and the group is proud. this is said with my kindest drill sgt voice.

and futurism posts! lo and behold, it be the end times! nice hearing from you again dude, your slacking off enabled the rise of slane, not to be confused with rise of the silver surfer

as for the leaderboard, spoke to Morgon from MGC and he's been very helpful and forthcoming in explaining the situation. seems there was some kind of admin glitch with Xbox.com that caused many of our accounts to come back reporting as invalid, so people were temp removed from the leaderboard. now, none of our Xbox or MGC accounts were really affected, there's no cause for alarm and the situation has been corrected, so nobody was deleted from MGC. we just have to manually add people back, so if you're one of those affected, drop PabUK a line and he'll take care of you.

I know, I just haven't really had much time for Xbox in the past year, except to play through MW2 at one point. I don't even have Gold anymore (though I have a 13 month card when/if I do start playing multiplayer again at some point). 'The rise of Slane' just gives me some friendly competition now I'm back in it.

Seems I got lucky and never dropped off the MGC board.

Ahh, my point score will be slowing down here. Missed the 75k goal by my birthday so going to focus on the 70% complete goal by the end of the year. Once I reach that I'll start playing some new games.

slane we can't have you slowing down, you've been a driving force behind the board last few months, you need to keep it up. you can still make 70K at that rate by the end of the year. i'll be very lucky to make my goal of 62K by then. what are our collective goals? Of course losing like 25 people to those glitches didn't help.

I'm still planning on hitting 75k by the end of the year. Just planning on having it come from games I need to do to get my completion rate up to 70%. But the thing with the older games I got, I just don't feel like playing 'em. I love Eternal Sonata, just don't feel like playing it any further than I have. :(

And I got my copy of Lost Odyssey just sitting there, begging me to play it, but I refuse until I can get some other games finished.

And I'll be dead honest. Netflix kills my playing time. So much to watch!

I never make goals because some MP game always comes along and steals all my time, and this year is gonna be chalk full of those. So here's to hoping there are MP achievements in Reach, Medal of Honor and Black Ops. I'm looking forward to Dead Rising 2 achievement hunting, the original is still my top pick for creative and fun achievements. I should make 60K by the end of the year, unless Neo makes his 62, in which case I'll make 63.

rook, why you little...

jonny you can still make 22K, even with two weeks off, just enjoy yourself. and slane, there's no way netflix is more important to you, you didn't say that. much as i love movies, they're always the thing i do when i'm not gaming, which will always come first in spare time activities.

BTW i don't think Black Ops will have MP achievements, it'll be the same as the last two CODs. so that's definitely going to eat into our plans.

anyway, i've decided our collective goals are 4.5 million points and 230K achievements by the end of the year, that's going to be real easy if all things stay more or less as they are. let me know if you have any other goals in mind.

I think those would be good goals. I think we can hit 'em and if we get everybody back we lost, it'll be no biggie.

Personal goals:

70% Completion Rate

75000 Gamerscore

Top 100 RPG leaderboard according to MGC

In the order of importance for me. Only think I'll nail the first two, third one is a bit of stretch.

har har har i'm gonna stop for a couple of days BTW, maybe just slow down, gotta give Rook a chance to move up a little heh heh...

You were about to catch me too! I'm about to sit down and finish Alan Wake right now, then might go ahead and continue my Red Dead campaign. You were so close, about to be so far away again!

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • I've never even heard of this browser before seeing this article. How does it differ from other browsers?
    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
