Installing now (in XP, though it is also Vista compatible)

Noticed changes already:

- Installer is not anymore web-based, but downloadable .exe (look first post for download)

- Can't update/upgrade from 1.1 yet... (not going to uninstall 1.1 now, sorry, Stupid homework)

It does tell you you need to uninstall other anti virus programs,I think antispyware programs are ok though

Come on, MS, x64 workstations are not that expensive and it's not that difficult to write portable code

Yes, i know it's not good to have 2 antivirus installed and running at the same time, but all installs offer some "Ignore this" button to keep installing at your own risk. Here it is more like "take it or leave it" :pinch:

OneCare itself is an anti-virus and firewall, I bet if you already have OneCare installed Avast will force you to uninstall it to install the same way OneCare asked you to remove Avast.

Yeah, every AV program tells you to uninstall all other AVs before installing. It's not just Microsoft trying to be "monopolistic".

I don't know if anyone else had this, but I installed it on RC2 and it totally srewed my system up, so not a good idea to install it on windows vista RC2!
