When Brandon Lee died during the making of the Crow, didn't they do a digital replica of him to finish the movie. Wouldn't it be something that if in the third movie they did a digital of Heath Ledger for his parts in the movie? I seriously doubt that would happen though.

BL was replaced by a look alike & CGI sucked back then.

If his performance is brilliant in TDK, I hope he gets nominated for an Oscar. Has there ever been someone nominated for an award after they had pass away?

Yep. I think in the ongoing topic about Heath a few people mentioned the actors who have received awards after their death.

Shocking news by Heath's death. But I wonder if he's also written into the third installment of the movie. If he was, Nolan has to change a lot of the Dark Knight's script.

Nolan always says he doesn't think in sequals, so there is probably no scripit for a sequal. But I would see no reason to cast another actor in the role and continue the character Heath helped recreate.

Well there was an article I posted earlier in this thread that might help you answer that question that the third film will center around Harvey Dent aka Two Face

I can't help but wonder if him playing the Joker had anything to do with it. They found sleeping pills next to him, and he had said he was losing sleep after playing such a horrific character. He said it was draining physically & emotionally. I think Nolan will cut out scenes to make the Joker less "horrific" in honor of Heath.

Its a shame Heath Ledger wont be around to see the reaction to his role as the Joker. From what I read and seen in quotes from people involved in the film he is going to blow us away and basically steal the movie. I was really looking forward to this movie catapulting his career. I really liked him in the Patriot. My guess is this movie will create a big "what could have been" feeling among people after seeing what he does as the Joker and even 20 years from now people will still be talking about it just like they still talk about Jack as the Joker (in different ways of course).

I'd never really heard of Heath Ledger before this but it looked like he was going to be superb in TDK. I'm gutted to hear about this terrible news really.. always said when a promising and really up and coming actor is taken in their prime :(

99% of the filming was done w/ the Crow... believe the only shot they needed was when we was walking into his aprt after he came back, they did digitally take him out of an earlier scene where he was walking thru an alley while it was raining. That was an awesome movie by the way.

That would suck, honestly. I don't think Nolan should water-down Heath's performance. If the performance is as good as people from the set have been hyping, then cutting scenes out would only disrespect Heath's accomplishment as an actor.

    • I hear you on browser password manager, in my case I have two Google profiles, one was created when Google decided to grandfather us out of Workspace for Domains (with the replacement being too expensive for 25 users) resulting in my domain email address no longer being able to be registered to a new Workspace I created (for myself and another co-owner) so I could use Takeout and sync over some stuff to the new Workspace. Then I have my personal Google profile which I could be logged into on my desktop or Mobile, so I am saving passwords on one or the other, and when an URL changes another password for the same service gets added, it basically ends up being a giant mess. Unless I missed something is there a local decent password manager that can override the browser password managers for Chrome, Edge, Firefox (profiles) so that there is only one vault, and does that also support Passkeys (which to me are still confusing because sometimes it will ask for a Passkey on a phone I am no longer using!) Microsofts implementation of Passkeys is the worst!
    • It's utterly baffling that we have no idea when we'll get new features even well after they've been released. Why Microsoft thinks this is a good rollout strategy is beyond me.
    • If it makes anybody happy, others will need to be bitter about it. (apologies to Yogi Berra)
    • I owned a lot of Soundblaster cards over the years all the way back to the ISA slot era. I use a Soundblaster X3 external now because I'm able to run it through a KVM and have it follow the machine I happen to be using. It drives a set of JBL 305 powered monitors wonderfully. I'm not gaming or doing home theater through it, so rear channels aren't a consideration for me, though it does have side / rear / sub outputs.
    • I disagree that using browser based password managers is a bad idea, your passwords are encrypted by the OS password, but they also be synchronized to make them helpful. I would also use a password manager extension that supports MFA TOTP and Passkeys to manage the account that synchronizes the data. Ente is 100% free and allows you to vault important information, has password vault support, and supports 2FA TOTP support, I just don’t believe, it has a browser extension.
