Bring back Carrey for the role i thought he was great at it, shame about the rest of the movie !!!

Back then no one would have agreed with you. But now that we know about his great talent interpreting serious roles too Carrey could be the best candidate.

He was good in that movie but Nolan may want to reinvent the character again.

Also, I think he is already too old for the character, though I did enjoy his performance in Batman Forever.

Scirwode

I mean he has reinvented the Joker into something closer to the character so he may want to do the same with Riddler.

True.

I wouldn't want to see Carrey as The Riddler again. :/ He was some what entertaining in Batman Forever. But I'd prefer to see a proper Nolan take on the character rather than a giddy Kim Jarrey.

For some reason you're thinking that if Carrey were involved, that he would do the same thing as Batman Forever, where he went based on the direction of Joel Schumacher. With a different and better director, the approach would be drastically different and I think Carrey could pull off what Nolan would have envisioned.

I thought Adrien Brody would have been a good joker before they put on heath ledger. But ledger, based on the previews seems to be really good. Maybe Brody could play Riddler. In the cartoon, the modern version of the batman, riddler's a skinny long nosed guy. im thinking adrien brody would be good.

Well first, I just wouldn't like to see him in a sequel to Nolan's Batman because he has already been in Schumacher's Batman. That in it self would kill it for me. Also I don't think you can take a drastically different approach to a character when using the same actor.

But I think it's safe to say Nolan will not using Jim Carrey or any other actor from previous Batman films.

I would have really liked to see Burton do a third Batman, a little late now, but Micky Dolenz was cast as The Riddler before it was handed over to Shumacher. And he would apparently have had a question mark shaved into his head.

You can if the actor its extremely talented to begin with ;)

Also, that poster its AWESOME. :o

The best person to play The Riddler would be Robin Williams. I know that sounds crazy, but I love him in drama/thriller stuff and I think if he combined his comedy and drama talents into one performance it would be awesome.

Anyone see him in One Hour Photo or the episode of Law & Order: SVU called "Authority" ... he was absolutely brilliant in that episode.

Guess that rules Carey out, then ;P

You cant say that about him if you have seen his more serious roles.

Its not an overstatement to say that he must be in the top 5 in acting skills right now in Hollywood.

I also think Batman Begins is the best Batman movie and one of the best movies of all time.

I wonder if The Dark Knight will be... really dark?

That's what I'm reading. Considering this film is the likely culprit for Ledger's depression and ultimate death, I'd imagine this is an extremely dark film.

I would definitely agree with that.

My favorite of his serious roles are: The Number 23 (bad film, but that was due to a poorly written script, his acting was top-notch though), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Majestic, & Man on the Moon.

Exactly, The Number 23 was an horrid borefest but he acted as much as his role let him. And of course we cant forgot about the best movie in the past two decades Eternal Sunshine...

Hurmoth, havent you seen Truman Show? That was maybe the first time Carrey acted like a master.

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
