I rewatch it in BR lately. And this film is really powerful, and trully well made. IMHO it deserve the Oscar. It proves (if proof were needed) that a blockbuster about a comic book character can become a real cinematographic experience and an intelligent movie.

I really hope Nolan will continue his work. This maybe is the best reboot of a franchise ever made.

(ok, there is not so many reboot, but still ;))

Am i only one who thinks Rachel Dawes sucks in the movie. She looks like as if she is an old lady. They could have chose atleast attractive girls like anne hathaway or liv tyler. :shifty:

the goal was to get a look-a-like to replace katie holmes.

my god i do agree with you about anne, she is soo damn hot !

Anne Hathaway would of been a nice choice :p

Katie holmes was haat in Batman Begins. :shifty:

Ledger 'saw six minutes of Dark Knight'

Heath Ledger watched the first six minutes of The Dark Knight, according to the movie's producer. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly as part of a special tribute, Charles Roven revealed that the actor had been "thrilled" by the footage. "I showed Heath the first six minutes of The Dark Knight, the bank heist sequence, on an IMAX screen in London," he said. "I said, 'You have to see this. You haven't seen yourself be the Joker!' He watched it, and it (more)

That's ridiculous. He is getting awards and praise because he did a damn fine bit of acting! Surely even someone who didn't like the film, can see that. He's performance was also praised by the cast and crew long before he died.

Exactly, to say that he's only getting the prize because he died is absolutely daft. You may or may not like the film, but there is no denying he gave one hell of a performance. When someone can act well enough to create an individual character on screen they deserve the award.

My dark knight winning prediction for Oscar. :D

Best Achievement in Art Direction - Won

Best Achievement in Cinematography - No

Best Achievement in Editing - Won

Best Achievement in Makeup - Won (Joker & Two face makeup was awesome)

Best Achievement in Sound - Won

Best Achievement in Sound Editing - Won

Best Achievement in Visual Effects - No (Most probably Iron man will win)

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role - Won

So its 6 oscars. :D

Absolutely loved Batman Begins. Saw that twice in theaters. Once I heard of The Dark Knight coming out in the summer, I knew again I would see it multiple times. The actors for every character were a perfect fit. And I was just speechless with Heath's performance.

I would love to see this movie win as much Oscars as possible. Deserves every one of them.

"The Dark Knight" Breaks the $1 Billion Mark

Warner Bros. announced Friday that "The Dark Knight" has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide revenues, having accumulated a $1,001,082,160 gross to date.

With eight Oscar nominations, the film currently ranks as the fourth highest worldwide grosser of all time, just below the No. 3 film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" ($1.07 billion) and No. 2 "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" ($1.12 billion).

The record-setting "Titanic" reigns atop the list with more than $1.8 billion.

Since its release in July, "Knight" also has become Warners' highest grossing film worldwide as well as the second-highest-grossing film domestically of all time. In its IMAX release, it ranks as the largest 2-D digitally remastered IMAX release of all time in both the domestic market with $49.6 million and worldwide with a gross of $64.9 million.

    • You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.
    • Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice? How does it compare to driving the same headphones from a normal device, and does it make any difference for everyday, lower‑impedance models? In short, who is this card actually targeted at?
    • Yes, THIS is wordart, not the styling that can now be done. Wordart was all about those curvy words, that you could change the path of, like making words go around a circle. I don't think it can be done now, right?
    • Just saw a news report of a Waymo driving into a flooded road.
    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays.
