namebranded
What do you think should be the point where someone voice is to high to be using a mic? And please try to not base it on Age Elitism...

Sophism
I do not think there should be any age limit, i have played many online games and there have been times when a 9year old is more mature than a 45 year old. Its all about the maturity level.

crazzy88ss
I don't really game much using TS or vent, so I don't understand what the big deal is about hearing a "young" voice... somebody clue me in?
namebranded
Because People are elitest oh and by the way, I am 13.... I play and talk in a mic. I only have a fake age alias, helps with privacy. I sound high, but I am a mature person. ;)
Nashy
If the following applies, then they shouldn't be on mic: - Balls yet to drop - Still find Ya [insert family member] jokes funny - Still thinks porn is really what sex is - Pathetic taunts when losing - "HACKING" Thats what I think. macro
What do you think should be the point where someone voice is to high to be using a mic? And please try to not base it on Age Elitism... Everybody's voice sounds different at any given age, so there is no one age in which you will find nobody who has a "high voice" By the way, what's "Age Elitism"? Because the age limit you are talking about sounds like something that would fit under that. At least an age limit that is being used to prevent people with high voices, I guess there would be no women allowed to use mics either right? Umbrello
Like Xiphias said, age isn't the issue. It's the maturity level.
»X«
I couldnt care less if the guy talking on the mic is 13. As long as like echoed above, he has the right maturity. I always have voice comms off in CS:S. Why? Because the servers usually fill with 13 years olds who just hold down the talk key and make long noises into the mic. No thanks. Odd, ive yet to meet/talk to/hear a mature 13 year old.

Not Really, It's not that females cant play, it's just that females ae quite obvious to point out. Oh Yeah And thanks I did Misspell that. It's a word I invented to describe the feeling that because you are a certain age you are therefore better in everyway to someone younger then you. It's a word I invented to describe the feeling that because you are a certain age you are therefore better in everyway to someone younger then you. The problem with online gaming and forums and stuff that makes people be idiots is the anonymity, not the age. I used to play counter-strike online and Xbox Live and eventually I would just stop playing on random servers and only play with friends I knew in real life. Your age has little to do with it I find, I've seen people post stuff that made me say "The guy must be 12 years old" only to find they were 30 something.
