Logitech Cordless Desktop S510

Recommended Posts

I tried one in a store since I'm considering the Dinovo but was it just me or are the keys somewhat noisier than other keyboards? I guess you would need to have them side by side but they just sounded a tad more noisy than the other keyboards there. Probably wouldnt be bad but and was me just looking for it.

I love the keyboard. I'm almost happy my other one died on me because this was a great purchase on my part. The mouse is indeed crap and I'll stick to my mx1000, but this keyboard is easily the best I've ever owned. Combine the setpoint software with uberoptions, and you have one killer set up.

I got this keyboard for Christmas and I've quickly got used to the slightly smaller keys. Can type alot faster than I could before on my old keyboard :).

I don't use the mouse at all. All I did was spin the mouse wheel and laughed out loud. Razer Copperhead FTW! :)

I have had a few wireless troubles, however. Once it wouldn't pick up some key presses, and the other time it would keep a single keypress down so I got about 10 of that letter appearing. And once there was just lag. I've had four wireless mishaps so far.

Also, it ain't great for gaming. It can't do up+left+space (but can with right instead of left) which I find happens on alot of keyboards and I was surprised it can't do this. It's needed for games like Worms: Armageddon and various flash games. Nonetheless, it works fine and I can't imagine there being much more improvement in a keyboard for FPS games, which this works fine for (No, I don't need about 30 extra keys, I have enough keys that I can configure on the keyboard it self.)

Oh, and I don't know what you're on about being only to customise only three buttons. You can customise the function of every enhanced F-key (Which is why I don't see why keys F-9-12 are dubbed "programmable" when every F-key is programmable).

They're just F keys, I want to be able to program every custom key like the rotate key and "web home" key et etc hence why there is such a large community for uber options.

For the Fkeys to work programmable you have to make sure you are in the enhanced F mode every time, in this mode the F keys do not work like normal F keys so you have to be in normal mode when you want to use F10 for example again which is hardly efficient.

I know what I'm talking about thanks Been using setpoint since it's creation (the iTouch days)

This product was available for free after rebates during Christmas time from RadioShack. Got one on the last day. I love it keyboard more than the mouse. Mouse had some weird problems. The cursor would move diagonally while I move it horizontally. Luckily I was able to connect another logitech mouse I had to the wireless base. Now they both work great ! The feel of the keyboard is very good... like that of a notebook.

    • Anthropic introduces Claude Tag, a new AI teammate for Slack by Fiza Ali Anthropic has announced Claude Tag, a new feature that lets teams work with Claude directly inside Slack. The idea is simple: once Claude is added to a Slack workspace and given access to selected channels, users can tag @Claude in conversations and assign tasks. Claude can then work through those requests using connected tools and data sources before posting its results back into a Slack thread. What makes Claude Tag different from a typical chatbot is that it's designed to operate as a shared assistant for an entire team rather than a single user. Everyone in a channel interacts with the same Claude instance. This allows the team members to see ongoing work and continue tasks started by others. Furthermore, Anthropic says the AI can build context over time by following conversations in channels where it has permission to operate. This means users don't have to repeatedly provide the same background information for every request. The system is also designed for asynchronous work. Instead of waiting for responses in a chat window, users can assign a task to Claude and return later once the work is complete. Anthropic says Claude can break larger requests into multiple steps and use connected tools to complete them. Moreover, the system can also schedule follow-up tasks and continue working on projects over extended periods. Another feature allows Claude to keep the users updated and follow up on unresolved tasks when its optional "ambient" mode is enabled. The company says the tool is already being used internally for software development, data analysis, support workflows, and debugging. According to Anthropic, around 65% of its product team's code is now generated through its internal version of Claude Tag. For organisations concerned about security, administrators can control which channels, tools, and data sources Claude can access. Separate Claude instances can also be configured for different departments, helping keep information isolated between teams. Administrators can also monitor activity logs, review completed tasks, and set spending limits at both the organisation and channel level. Claude Tag is now available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers and runs on Claude Opus 4.8 that was announced this May. The feature will also replace Anthropic's existing Claude in Slack application, with current users able to migrate within a 30-day migration window. Lastly, eligible customers will receive introductory credits to help teams evaluate the new experience.
