Jean Mich :

1) It works with these mods on my main machine (up to the tree building, not tested further at the moment)

2) It worked, up to the same point, on a secondary machine -without the mods-.

The difference is...

The 2 machines are in Francais(France) but on the main one no EN language service is installed.

I will try to install EN and make a new test with your first beta. Installing EN sevice seems to need a reboot to be effective.

Nevertheless you fixed the problem with theses new modules.

Maintaining current our french cooked Autopatcher:

On the march 2007 progress report thread some updates of the main Autopatcher program are released by the team.

Testing the latest one, I discovered that the Jean-Mich's February unofficial release was not working anymore. Gandolas gave me the explanation and then encrypted one of our french text file.

The result is here and works :

Our main problem to build an official french release is to store in some place. Any idea? I am not a fan of P2P...

well, i did a little mirror at http://www.4shared.com it's free and pretty fast. main issue: you can only upload pieces of 50MB. but this volume size should do the trick (winrar): 50215936. this will give you pieces of ~47MB. if you wish 50MB, you may choose 52428800 (or just: size in MB*1024*1024). you can do a shortcut for your mirror too in there.

I tested this site and also megaupload. This last one seems easiest to use for bigger files.

So I uploaded an updated version of the last jean-Mich's file ( Full XP FRA Feb 07) with autopatcher program updated to version 5.6.0.61.

This is of limited interest, because 1) no new patches are added for march and april and 2) autopatcher 5.6 is not yet completed...

patipata, megaupload seems better, in fact. but there's slot limitations by country and other issues. yes, you may install an spyware and probably will bypass that. you too can download a addon to firefox and bypass that limitation. but it's a hack and some people will not know how to do that. you can upload multiple files to 4shared at once too. by the user side, the only one limitation it that you can only download one file at each time by free. but you can download one and then another one, without any hack or slot limitation.

but there's a few updates for march and april. a few ones was removed too (like msxml 6) and other ones was added (like flash player, shockwave, KB934238, KB935843, KB890830, KB931784, KB930178, KB932168, KB931261, KB930916, and a few other ones that i may have forgot). AP 5.6 exe himself was updates a few times too. i'm not sure if is really the last one this one that i have, but i have in here ap 5.6.0.59 so far.

of course, any mirror may helps ;)

The documentation and the translation pack aren't available.

If they are released, the project will be reactivated.

Thanks to the help of the Autopatcher Team, a test release of Autopatcher XP July 2007 Core French can now be downloaded from the link below.

French translation has been reworked as AP is now able to display accented characters -except in the tree view, this small bug will be corrected later-.

What is very new in this release is :

- a new way of detecting already installed patches

- a removal section for allmost all patches

Testers, please pay special attention to these two points... and leave comments and remarks in this thread.

Next step will be to turn this release to an official one.

This is a -temporary I hope- consequence of the new multilanguage .apm files in AP 5.6. Today I would have to duplicate french title and french description 16 times as french is the language in 16 LCID. I suppose your (one of yours) LCID is 3084 ? Try 1036 if you can -do not destroy your system, however-.

I'm waiting for an answer from the Autopatcher creator on this point

In order to get all the releases AIO compatible, we all must use the same parent modules. That's why they have all the languages made available by the translators.

Right now, we have: English, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese, and now French. Please replace the parent modules that you have with this ones that have already French translation. Remember to check if the others modules have the right parent.

Indeed, i was ready to make an announcement for a stable French version of Autopatcher when i see this thread.

A long time ago, a friend of mine ask to a developper if it is possible to make an official French version of Autopatcher and he agrees.

Then, my studies take all of my free time and finally, i finish the translation and the integration of all updates few days ago.

Everything is ready, the version has been tested and it's working and it is supposed to be a big surprise for the new version of my website (DepanneTonPC.net).

So, my question is : what do we do ? :wacko:
