hi folks. i've build a full version for autopatcher oct brazilian portuguese version. it's really full, with all packages listed on translation pack. it give's 247 modules and, after compiled, it takes 281 MB (294.797.997 bytes). this build have every single update, even the ones that require wga validation to download. so far, i did a few instalations of my build (with and without backups, with somethings, without others, etc) and it seems ok. but it's an unofficial build and may have some unpredicted problem. so, if someone wanna help on tests, thanks a lot in advance and please, just send a pm

I've started a thread regarding the brazilian portuguese versions at

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=...#entry588056670

so you might contribute there if you wish (as to me, I'm not quite ready yet for testing your version - a bit later on maybe).

ps: funny thing, even on official releases, it always shows that something is missing to do on autopatcher himself. some bad detection on some modules, perhaps?

Hi people!

One question for all:when will November's update exit?

Will be there Internet Explorer 7,Media Player 11 and Windows Defender?

How will it get over WGA problems?

November update will exit when... it will be ready!

Be patient please. :D

@WAR-DOG

don't expect the november release for at least a couple of days. sorry it's taking so long this month but firstly i though raptor was doing it but it's been passed back to me so i'm starting a week later than usual, and secondly theres a hell of a lot to do this month.

oh and fyi for those that don't know, the progress bar at the top of the forum is just a php script that basically guesses, theres no manual over-ride built in, so i'm sorry that it says 'released' when it really isn't. perhaps we'll have to try and improve on this somehow...

there will most likely be full & lite releases this month btw!

well i see "AutoPatcher November 2006 Progress: released!" but I don't see any links or torrents... What is up?

This is the first time the progress bar was updated on time. A week too early, but on time... :D

At least we have a working progress bar, and AP will have too wait. Take your time Blaze...

Don't kow if this is in it already or not, but it should be. Was just released yesterday: Java 5.0, Update 10:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Sun_Java_Runtime...ment_d4648.html

The official Sun Java sites still only list Update 9 as the latest...

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
