List Your Overclocks..

Changed my settings on mine a little while ago. I got it stable at 2.2ghz 400FSB 1.675 VCore, i pushed it to 2.3ghz 420FSB same voltage but it BSOD so my ram aint too good for overclocking.

Besides that im happy. Temps have gone down and the performance has gone up!

Not so, you need to up your vcore. Your RAM is good;);)

Homer, you need to push it to at least 1.8 volts to get about 2.35 gig, and if your prepared to go further 1.9 volts should get you to 2.4gig! although i find upping my FSB is sometimes a no no, which is why it is at 203, i tend to slide the multi up. Tell me how you get on.

The temps were beginning to get stupid even with 1.7, im talking 62-64 idle and around 70-75 under load.

I'll wait to get better cooling before i go further. :D

Hehe in your face here samoa;

Earlier i pushed this thing to 12 x 205 = 2460mhz

As my power supply is crap i had to take the core to 1.8v... things were hot we're talking about 65 idle in the bios... god knows what it would go to if windows would actually start.

Anyway, just thought i'd say.

It did actually work though... :p

hehe i managed to get my 2400 to 2.490ghz...(@44 idle) but i think the rams craped out cos it deleted all my drives >_<

homer invest in beter cooling , your akasa just cant take the stress.. your rams good for it... and if only you'd do the wire trick like i keep telling you

Yeah yeah i know. I just need to find something good. lol

That's great. But probably that wasn't stable at all. My system can OC pretty high, but that doesn't make it stable. But just like you found, Heat is a problem with such a high vcore and multiplier setting;);)

tbred-b 1700+@2600+ 200x10.5 on an ECS: L7S7A2 using pc2100@ 184mhz cas2 safe timings(faster then the 3200 i got that only works at cas3)

can run prime for HOURS stable

use a tr2tt m2 cooler :)

this is by far the best mobo i have delt with and i have delt with menny got an fic au13 thats brand new tested it for a few days and desided i liked my ecs better (au13 is nf2-spp/u400 l7s7a2 is sis746)

also played with epox, abit, asus nf2 boards really the max manual multi of this mobo being 12.5 isnt an issue 12.5x200 would be 2500mhz thats a good oc for any barton/tbred cpu and i could get 233/250 fsb with a slight mod to the mobo (up the vchipset to 2v)

i can post and load windows up to 2300mhz but prime fails so i leave it as is

oh for those that dont know the sis746-746fx-748 are the same chipset just remarked and offical support for 200fsb

its the only chipset that acctuly LIKES running the ram async to the cpu(eg running cpu at 333 and ram at 400+)

Correction:

I've gotten my system back to 2.27ghz 433FSB, CAS 2-3-2-6, 1.72vcore. :D (Y)

It runs even better with the BIOS update I did yesterday. But I had it there prior to. Which is why I'm not getting an NF7-S like I had posted. I've got my system running how I like it. I could easily do a bit better with better cooling. I wouldn't gain much out of the NF7-S over what I got now, for the same reason. So that given I don't have the money, I'm not getting it.

Instead I will set my sights on the Athlon64 3200 cpu and a good 64Bit Mobo. Well not for a while...anyway.

I didn't OC my CPU yet but I OCed my graphics card right now. I have an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128mb original specs before the OC were core clock frequency 250MHz & memory clock frequency 400MHz. I OCed the core clock frequency to 316MHz & memory clock frequency to 500MHz. It runs very stable with no problems with the graphics or fan trouble while playings games and my cooling is good.

I did a benchmark before and after the OC. I used the 3DMark 2003 benchmark.

Before the OC 1213 3DMark points

After the OC 1312 3DMark pionts.

I know those points are nothing great but meh! My card does the job for me.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Anno 117, Final Fantasy VII, Rematch, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games Store's mystery giveaways may have ended, but its regular freebies didn't miss a step this week. The double drop was for copies of Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King. Speed Freeks lands for multiplayer racing fans, but with plenty of competitive shooting elements too. You will be piloting Ork buggies, tanks, and aircraft modeled after the popular tabletop miniatures while trying to complete objectives and pass finish lines. Next, Ouroboros King is a crossover between chess and tactical roguelikes, offering the chance to create your own army with special rules to beat incoming foes on the board. The double giveaway on the Epic Games Store will be available until June 11, and replacing it will be Citizen Sleeper and ROBOBEAT. The Humble Store brought a new charity bundle to check out this week too. Landing with the name The Complete Inkle Library, this is a large collection of interactive narrative puzzle games from the publisher Inkle. This begins with Heaven's Vault, four parts from the Sorcery series, 80 Days, Overboard, and Pendragon: Narrative Tactics within the starting tier for $9. Hopping up a step to the $12 tier gets you TR-49, Expelled, and A Highland Song for paying at least $12. If you go for the $20 tier, you get four e-books from the Heaven's Vault series. • When will the Photos app be updated to remember the window size and position when reopened? They addressed this issue in a 2024 version of the app (though I can't recall the build number). Unfortunately, after that specific version, the problem persists! Please prioritise this fix in your K2 schedule. Additionally, the Snipping Tool has lost the ability to capture the Windows Taskbar starting from the 2024 version!
