P4 2.0ghz @ 2.5ghz (1.6v, 500mhz FSB)

Using one of those Zalman "flower" coolers with some Arctic Silver 3 wodged inbetween it. Idle: 40c, Loaded (Prime98, max heat): 60c but after gaming it's more like 53c.

I've had it running at 2.6ghz but it's not particuarly stable - Prime95 on max heat crashed after about 15 minutes, whereas earlier today when I was testing my machine for stability (@ 2.5ghz) I had it running for about 6 hours straight while I was sleeping, before I woke up and decided to switch my machine off because the noise was ****ing me off!

I've also bodged a fan on the northbridge and replaced the thermal pad on it with Acrtic Alumina, which decreased the system temperature by about 8c.

Also got a ****ty GeForce 2 MX400 @ 240mhz (core) and 210mhz (memory). Any faster gives me artifacts/lockups. I've bodged an old Socket 7 fan on the heatsink which keeps it cool.

Got a total of 11 fans within the confines of my case serving various purposes, so as you can imagine, it's a bit loud.

Also got a 500mhz Celeron @ 563mhz in another machine I use for messing around with.

ArrowHead you needed 2.1v to crank your 2600+ to 2500 Mhz? Damn thats not too good. I've got my 2600+ @ 2437 (174x14) at 1.85v and its rock stable. If i go to 1.95 i can get 2530 but its a little too hot for my liking.

Edit: Btw my 2600+ is the 333 FSB version (2083 MHz stock)

This is because i have a poor quality PSU, and certain voltages it cannot cope with thus i get lots of spikes in which case it hangs. The voltage it is currently at is basically the PSU's sweet spot. Also you have got your multiplyer up way too high, mine is at (206x12) so the memory runs much quicker, id be able to get 2.6 if i lowered the FSB but it just isnt worth it.

finally got my 2400+ Mobile!

after waiting and waiting

but today i went to pick it up.. it's a:

AXMH2400FQQ4C

IQYHA 0406UPMW

So it's a pretty good stepping :woot: ..

we ordered them directly from germany and they came directly from AMD  .. so this guy got like 100 cpus.. most of them 2500+ and some 2400+. all the 2400+ have the same stepping.. and he already tested like 2 of them and got them @ 2.8GHz @ 1.9 or 2.0 volt  .. im expecting some good things

haven't had any chance to install this one yet.. but im gonna do it tomorrow so i will keep you guys updated :shifty:

small update.. no increase yet.. tomorrow im buring it in.. but im running it @ 2.4GHz @ 1.65/1.68:p:p

pretty low voltage don't ya think?

Looks good:D:D

If I wasn't trying to go for a 939 update I would probably get a mobile cpu... sounds like some o/cin' goodness:yes:s:

im getting the 939 too :p

for 100 bucks i couldnt let this cpu..... now i can have some fun before i got out and but the 939

is it a pro? did you oc the memory or only the core?

the core usually works @ 400&nbsp:p:p  so i don't think you have a pro..

maybe its the mem you overclocked

Thanks for the reply. No I have the basic version im afraid, but in the 256mb edition (saphire)

I know nothing about overclocking graphics cards really, but i have just download a copy of Rage3D

Someone tell me what i can overclock it up t:p:p

That's pretty high, can't remember mine but I think my max before artifacts would show was 350-360.

There is a program called ATI tool or ATItool.. it would let you test the card and find the max gpu and memory o/c (based on what people said, I haven't used this).

small update.. not major.. i reached 2.6Ghz.. i can do it in 3 ways:

13*200

12.5*208

12*217

:p

the only problem now is my psu.. first thing: i needed at least 2.1 volt to get here.. that's not good! i should be able to do 2.6 @ lower vcore.. but my psu is crapping out on me :(

check the screenie.. the +12 is wayyyy to low.. below the 5% margin..

it's not stable right now.. well it doesnt crash or so.. but pifast wont run so that's a clue ;)

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
