List Your Overclocks..

Recommended Posts

Saw this thread over at hardocp (borrowed the title too  )

Maybe a mod would like to make this a sticky. But hopefully it will get some use. Come here and brag about what you have overclocked (cpu, vcard, etc)! List all the specs...orginal speed, final speed, fsb, cpu coltage, used to cool, etc. You know them all.

Here's mine. P4 1.8a overclocked to 2.4 @ 133 fsb (333). Right now its at the default voltage, and using the wonderful intel hsf. Pretty solid for the past few days. Running around 36 C. I tried uping the fsb, but she wouldn't post, so I think this is as high as it will go without raising the voltage.

Let's see yours!

Nothing terribly exciting for me. I have in this particular box im working at a 1200Mhz Duron running at 1350Mhz without any extra cooling. CPU/DRAM frequency was upped to 112/112 (224). I am running a ECS K7S5A mobo with the latest overclockers cheepobios installed.

47C at idle.

I was once overclocked my AthlonXP 1700+ from 1.47ghz (std) to most stable 1.51ghz (1800+ speed). I am planning to overclock again once I get higher frequency set of memory sticks (currently have PC2100 DDR...plan to upgrade to PC3200).

AMD XP 1900+ (1.6 Ghz) OCed to AMD XP 2100+ (1.73 Ghz) (LOCKED CPU)

Multiplier: 12 FSB: 144

VCore: 1.8 Volts

DRam settings at 2-2-5-2, 1t Command and Normal at 2.6 Volts

Thermaltake Volcano 7 HSF modded to run on max speed

MSI KT3 Ultra2 R Mobo

Idle Temps: 38C

Load Temps: 42C

thas as far as i can get this crappoo-poo 1900+ to oc at 100% stability. i can get it to 1.78 ghz but it lockes up here and there

Athlon XP 1700+ (11*133) running at 2000+ (11*151)

Vcore 1.850v

2*256mb Crucial DDR sticks

DDR settings: 2-2-5-2, 1T command at 2.6 volts

Thermaltake Volcano 9 at 3000-4000 rpm

MSI K7T 266 Pro2 mobo

Idle Temps, CPU:45C, Case:38C

Load Temps, CPU:52C, Case:40C

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a 2000+ right now its running at 1.77 (12.5x141)

I tried making the first number higher but it wouldnt post

I tried making the FSB faster but it wouldnt go into windows...after showing the irq's it restarted

Any ideas what to change bc it hasnt become any hotter then it was at normal speeds

EDIT: The highest i could get the FSB is 143, at 144 the computer restarts after the irq's

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
