Windows Media Player 11 - Odd White Dot

On WMP in XP, from time to time, I see those ugly, annoying "dots" above the title bar... here's a screenshot; click to enlarge, and look at the top of WMP, on both sides - you'll see those ugly dots. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, I have the SAME EXACT problem. It is quite annoying. I was scared I was the only one. They BETTER fix this soon.

Well.. just happen to notice. Doesn't bother me that much since I keep it minimized most of the time.

weird bug, hope they fix it for the next build (post-final build?) Also I'd like to see the new WMP icons too that comes with Vista.

Yep, I have it as well. Goes away when resizing it. I'm also surprised that wasn't correct before the final release.

Same here, will probably be fixed in WMP11 SP7 :D

Same thing here, but resizing doesn't make it go away permanently. It seems to come back after moving the window or focusing another window and then returning focus to WMP. And of course it goes away in skins mode, but that makes most of the functionality of the player go away too.

I think IE7 is like that for everyone. Makes IE7's GUI look rubbishy and unfinished IMO.

um thats not a bug, thats how the graphic behind the buttons is made to make it look inset..

Same WMP11 bug here as well. Seriously doubt this will be fixed. Lets be honest, With Vista coming in days, MS isn't going to put much more effort into XP and will do everything they can to obsolete it ASAP. You could see this coming when they pushed back SP3 4 years after SP2 (Which means it'll be cancelled), when that nutcase Ballmer said XP was Vista's #1 competitor and finally the GUIs of both IE7/WMP11/Windows Defender not being re-worked to fit into XPs visual design. You see IE7, WMP11 on XP for two reasons:

1. Firefox

2. iTunes

Microsoft does nothing unless someone get their panties in a wad.
