Looks like the rumors have a very good chance of being true :)

Rumor: Xbox 360 HDMI Coming With Lost Planet Bundle?

Shots of the forthcoming Lost Planet Xbox 360 bundle for Japan made their way onto the internet today, with some eagle eyed console fans noticing something surprising: mention of HDMI output on the back of the box.

1UP followed up with Microsoft who claimed that the box contained a "misprint", denying that HDMI output would be included in the package. Yeah. Misprint. That may very well be true for this particular bundle, but something smells fishy.

So, what is it? Are we looking at a future hardware revision? Will Microsoft be selling an HDMI output cable this holiday? We were tipped about one popping up on Gamestop the other day for a cool $80, shipping December 1, but it has since disappeared.

We'll let you know what else we hear, but since all Microsoft rumors are true, expect an HDMI output announcement soon. Michael McWhertor

Microsoft already debunked this.

Here's the box shot:

Here's Microsoft's response:

Microsoft responded and told us that the pictures were not final shots of the retail package. These were early product shots not indicitive of the retail version. The mention of HDMI on the box was merely a typo. The final retail box will not contain any such references.

Quite aggrevating if you ask me. Why don't they just come out with the Cable already?!

MAYBE BECAUSE ITS NOT POSSIBLE FROM A TECHNICAL STANDPOINT?!@#!@#!

Jesus... your all screaming around demanding it, did you ever think that they didn't release one because the console isn't capable of it? Unless I'm mistaken, converting an analog signal from the Xbox 360 to a Digital Signal, HDMI, would require an expensive and large convertor.. so they're just like.. whats the point?

The 360's GPU is capable of outputting a digital signal... There were a couple threads on here a while back.

As I reported a few months ago, a model with HDMI was seen and used by someone I personally know. Those saying it's never going to happen, may be very surprised.

I'm sure it's technically possible, it's just the matter of whether it'll require a motherboard revision (like above) or not. I wish Microsoft will confirm one way or the other so I can get a 360 to play Gears Of War (of which the CE version is actually cheaper here than in America surprisingly).

Either way, why would they put HDMI on the box in the first place, even if it wasn't final? Seems like too much of a 'typo' to overlook.

if they come out with an hdmi box i wish we could send ours back and get that board put in :( ... or i would even be willing to pay a small fee for it.

Dude...take a look at the most recent pic spartan posted...the one of the Lost Planet bundle. The AV Cable there...yeah, that looks to me like it has an HDMI connector on it  .

it's not a new model, it's just a cable just like the HD cable we have right now. it comes with the RCA (red, white and yellow) connectors on one end and the HDMI connector on the other end...

just take a closer look at the cable on the picture and you'll see what I mean... :)

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-de-49-en-70-11qr.html

Come on guys, smarten up. :pinch:

I'm asking around to confirm this and I have two versions of the story ATM... some ppl in marketing says this was a SNAFU and a guy on R&D says the prototype of the HDMI cable look exactly like the D Terminal cable, will get back to you once I have more info on this one...

BTW, as stated by Microsoft themselves, the Xbox 360 is capable of an all-digital output, so HDMI is definitely possible.

Source?

Microsoft just got back to us to clarify the Xbox 360's ability to transmit a digital signal. In short, it can, which means that Microsoft could conceivably release an HDMI cable for the Xbox 360. This is good news, and relieves a great deal of our concern over the Xbox 360's ability to effectively work with 1080p. Microsoft's full response is marked in the Q & A portion of this feature.

    • Google pitches Spanner as one database for all AI agents with these new featues by Karthik Mudaliar Google Cloud is introducing new features within Spanner, its distributed database, as a place where enterprises should keep their data, using which AI agents could make smarter and better decisions. In a detailed blog post, Google highlighted quite a few features coming to Spanner, including relational data, graph relationships, vector search, key-value access, full-text search, and operational analytics together in one database architecture. Google says that today's systems aren't well-made for AI agents. There could be data that is present in one system, search indexes in another, embeddings in a vector database, and relationship data in a graph database. This fragmentation isn't great for AI agents to do their jobs because they don't have access to all of this data in one place. This is where Google is positioning Spanner as a solution. Spanner is already a globally distributed relational database with strong consistency, and Google wants its customers to see it as a broader data layer for AI applications. The company introduced something called Spanner Graph, along with integrated vector search, full-text search, a Cassandra-compatible key-value endpoint, and a columnar engine for analytical queries on operational data. Google also added that its ScaNN-powered vector search can support indexes with more than 10 billion vectors, while the columnar engine can make some analytical scans up to 200 times faster. All of this isn't just exclusive to the Google Cloud Platform, and there's support for multi-cloud as well. This comes via Spanner Omni, which Google says is a downloadable, containerized version of Spanner that can run on Kubernetes and in environments outside Google Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and even on-premises infrastructure as well as edge deployments. Google says that customers who are interested in the full-featured edition should contact the company, and there's no word on commercial availability or separate pricing. Those interested can read the full blog by Google Cloud, which details these features individually.

    • They have lots of info on me, I have a facebook account and have done so for years, it was the thing to have then. My phone number is not on it. I don't have the Facebook app on my phone these days, just the messenger part, and only for a couple of people to contact me, most will text me via SMS or phone. I agree, Meta, like others, even without an account will know something about me. Just have to try and keep some things private Also, never saw the need for Whatsapp, people used to ask for me to join it, but as I said to them, I have SMS and a phone, use that, or email
