Mac OS X 'Leopard'-related Discussion

I've got a dock mod coming that I think most of you will like. Just be patient.

I can do the images, but does anyone know how to write a program that will mod the dock, instead of getting the user to do it manually? We might be able to work something out and have the first dock mod program out there ;)

You're probably looking as something as simple as a Shell script run by applescript or Automater

Pack it up with a shell script that does the copying and stuff. :)

[Ok I was beaten!]

Package Maker in the Developer Tools should do the trick.

I just tried to reproduce your bug, no dice. What exactly did you do, and do you have logs?

Sorry for being nosy :p

Not sure if this is the right thing but...2007_10_28_130904.panic.zip

Other than that so happy my mac does Dolby Digital 5.1 from DVDs! Thankyou Apple I have been waiting ages for this :)

This is probably going to seem random but... have you ever set up a Wiimote with your computer?

My Macbook Pro started kernel panicking when I would have a Wiimote on near it because I had set it up at one point to play with, and it looks like you have the same model.

Nope, at the time I had clicked on Browse Device, Chose a device that came up as "The device name" and description Portable. Clicked on it, took a little while to so I quit it, few seconds later panic screen comes up. I think it was my flatmates HP Laptop. Seems to be such a rare occurence on Macs I'd just never seen it before.

Load up Doom 3 in XP and then in Vista and use a application to monitor CPU outputs, nuf said. XP has been modified to use Dual Core but it dosnt do it to the full potential. The Windows Server 2003 core (vista) has always had dualcore from the get go. Hence most people have better framerates in games after moving to Vista (providing they're not using Cheep DDR RAM)

why do you talk so much crap, honestly.... cheap DDR RAM has nothing to do with it!! at all.... though the dual core has been taken advantage of more in Vista than XP.

This is hardly the place to start a hardware discussion, DDR RAM does make a difference, otherwise why the hell did we bother creating DDR2 RAM in the first place. All my games on 5000+ and higher machines run faster on Vista than on XP, FACT!

Regardless, this is a Mac OS X thread and Mac OS X is better then Windows XP and Vista combined, and that too is, FACT

    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
