Public beta of Photoshop CS3

it's not taking my CS2 serial number. did anyone get theirs to work?

i have a real cs2 license. i'm holding the disc with the jewel case with the sticker on the back right now :p

the windows version doesn't even require 'cracking' in the traditional sense. changing the file extension of one teeny file removes all time limits.

Indeed, this "crack" does work. :whistle:

Just loaded it and it uses Vista Basic when the window is within the Photoshop window but if dragged out, it changes to Aero.

The UI is a drawback from CS2 in Windows.

WTF i downloaded the beta double clicked the package it unpacked but wont launch ?

I started installing the demo, and after unpacking and all that it told me that Firefox had to be closed for it to continue. I closed Firefox, and went to click "Continue"... only "Continue" wasn't there, and "Cancel" was the only option available.

WTF is this?

So, it had to start the process and unpack (which takes a damn while) all over again...

Just about every other installer I've used gives you the option to continue once you close the offending apps. Why can't Adobe handle this simple thing?

I've had the problem of it crashing in an odd sense that it behaves in an irrational manner (i.e. constant refreshing) and it takes up 100% CPU until I kill it. Nasty. :no:

After messing a bit with the beta, I say it's a great improvement over CS2. Especially the live filters and the new interface. Surely it crashes from time to time and doesn't refresh as it should, but what do you expect from a beta release.

The new selection tool is the best addition to photoshop for ages. (Y)
