forcedsquint
So I was at Walmart today when then came over the loud speaker with "attention shoppers, we have 1 PS3 in the electronics section". I wheeled my cart right over there and nobody had claimed it yet. I bought it. I really want a Wii, so I'm gonna sell this. It's the 60GB version with Wi-Fi, flash memory slots, etc. I'm not concerned at all about being able to sell it and at least getting my money back. But if anyone is really hot for 1 post here, otherwise I'm putting it on eBay tomorrow (Thursday).
Ironman273
Why do you think you could just walk over and buy it? Good luck trying to get rid of it...
forcedsquint
Why do you think you could just walk over and buy it? Good luck trying to get rid of it... I already have one person at work who is willing to reimburse me for what I paid for it as long as I sell to them before I leave on Friday afternoon. No worries. dagamer34
... I really think people should take an economics class. If you intend on selling your PS3 on eBay, good luck for even trying to sell it for profit. In case you don't know, PS3s are being sold below retail value or not at all. Honestly, if you want to make a quick buck off of people, you should have tried to get a Wii. But then again, people want to play one, not to sell it.

Ironman273
I already have one person at work who is willing to reimburse me for what I paid for it as long as I sell to them before I leave on Friday afternoon. No worries. That's the problem my friend has. He's now trying to get back what he paid for them but isn't happy tying up $1,000 (in his case, 2 PS3s) just to transport it for someone. I would say sell it to your friend and move on. EBay is going to be a brain damage case.
Ji@nBing
Not really that lucky. PS3's are easy to find these days. Most shops you can just walk into and pick one up. The Wii on the other hand...
forcedsquint
i really hope you get stuck with it Ummm, okay. Can?t say I understand why you would waste your time making derogatory statements toward someone you don?t even know. But that?s okay, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and that you solve as many problems in life as you create. reimburse me for what I paid for it so whats the point ? to break even lol The point is I knew there were people at my work who wanted to get one for their kids for Christmas. It?s their money and I?m happy to help them make it an exciting Christmas, even if there is no personal gain in it for me other than the enjoyment of helping someone else. The PS3 is very, very difficult to find around here.
kingroach
if you want to make osme mney.. try craigslist.. you might find people near you who will want to pay more than retail.. IN ebay.. I have seen a PS3 auction closing in about 4 minuetes and the maximum bid is 550 or something like that.. I feel bad for the people who camped for two/three days to get the ps3 and cant even sell it for profit..

Even with them being extremely hard to find in my area, I have a friend who camped out for one launch night. He thought he would make a killing on E-Bay. He did not. He now insists he can at least make a 100$ profit. He simply just refuses to get rid of it for original cost. Needless to say, he still has it. I really am surprised honestly, because as I said they are nowhere to be seen where we live. Also I am really, truly curious, where does everyone live who are saying they are easy to get? I have not seen a single one in any store in my area since their releas:wacko:cko:

+virtorio MVC Posted December 21, 2006 MVC Share Posted December 21, 2006 So how many Playstation 3's have been brought for the purpose of actually using them, and not just reselling them?

forcedsquint
Ship to UK? I want one to actually use, not resell. I don't even have to ship. I have a friend who works in the UK who is headed back on the 30th and he could bring it with him. He works near Cottons Centre in London. At least I guess bringing it back on the plane shouldn't be a problem. Will check if you want it.
