Question

A fresh "Best Firewall" poll for 2007. Please use this as a reference when researching Firewall utilities. As time goes on, the poll can be updated to add further options.

Due to limitations of IPB - this will be seen as 3 polls. Select the Firewall program you wish to vote for, and choose N/A in the other polls.

Happy voting!

Earlier, before taking DSL, my computer got internet through Ethernet where my LAN consisted about 100 or more computers. In those days, I trusted BlackICE and ZoneAlarm for protection.

Now that, I am connected to the internet using DSL, I use Windows built-in firewall with NAT/Router Firewall.

Also, McAfee Total Protection works good but it's a bit high on resources.

ah yeah forgot. I never really used a firewall anyway, bloody waste of time. behind a router now dunno if that increases protection once, but didnt have a firewall running for over 2 years once nothing ever happened. Most trojans and stuff were detected by the antiviruses so its all good

Did you guys realize Comodo & Jetico are two of the better firewalls around? Especially Jetico, yet nobody knows about them and I guess their site isn't exactly the best looking either... But look up firewall security tests and you'll see they're actually above the rest.

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a new and easy firewall for a XP SP2 installation.

I used Kerio 2.1.5 but I had few problems with my local network so I decided to remove it and I use XP firewall for the moment.

Which is the best free firewall for you ?
