AutoPatcher XP January 2007

Recommended Posts

anyone having problems with autopatcher loading the windows installer on launch? everytime i try and run autopatcher it starts windows installer and wants me to point to the autocad msi installer for some reason, i tried that but it just keeps cycling through installing...

The problem is old as Autodesk AutoCAD 2007 was launched on the market.

I also cannot figured why this happening, and I allready ask here people on the forum before, olthough never get answer for it...

The problem is not aperaing only when you try to engage Autopatcher XP back on the run again (after the AutoCAD 2007 installation process finished), the problem is back on when you click AutoPatcher "Save us folder listing" option also!!!

Luckilly, all this particullar problems described here goes down, when you press a few times fast a Cancel button on this .msi installation proces, and that will lead you to normall Autopatcher window back as were before any problem...

Please can somebody help and advice here, or to reffere some usefull link about this nasty bug problem...

Is the English version a Full version or the update?

Some of the other language versions have full and lite.

I wish there would be some sort of clarification on the first page.

I haven't installed it before.

So I don't know if this is full or do I search for the previous full release?

It gets a bit muddled for newcomers to the site.

cheers.

^ sorry, its just going to be an update release this month. next month we should be moving to AutoPatcher 5.6. with the move to 5.6 there wont be an update for 5.1 releases, your all going to have to delete your 5.1 releases and replace them with a 5.6 full/lite release. i dont want to do full/lite releases for two months running, it can take a full day to upload the entire set of releases when doing full & lite!

and anyway it hasnt been many months, the last full/lite was november 2006, december 2006 and january 2007 were updates. its usual for us to do two or three months of updates releases between new full/lite releases, so an update release this month and a full/lite next month is perfectly on track anyway.

And last year wasn't there four months of updates around this time, not full?

Besides, being on dial-up I can download the update, install, then make a full installer using Inno and have it take up less space the the original installer does.
