Aurora and Bliss

Well i find a way to have the windows aurora runin not as wallpaper but it works

all u need is the aurora.xaml *google it

windows vista or avalon *Windows Presentation Foundation for XP

once u have both open the xaml file

in ie press F11

and then brind all ur apps infront

i know it isnt wat we want but hey , it looks co0l :p

Yeah I tried it on vlc. Play any movie using the player, right click and choose wallpaper from within the video window and walla~ lol. My cpu stays below 4% throughout the process. Pretty good.

You carnt convert a screensaver to wmv as far as i know, i converted the Bliss one because all the screensaver was is a video file playing over and over again, which is what Dreme Scene does :) hopefully Dream Scene might supprt screensavers in the future :D as some of the Vista screensavers will make ace backgrounds!

Why not just use BSplayer? It can loop video on the desktop and it doesn't put a backing on icon text.

With a little shortcut-fu you can make it launch with Windows and start playing automatically.

I thought Dream Scenec would be out by now but here is what MS emailed me:

"Thanks for your interest in Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows DreamScene. We are still finalizing testing of this cool, new feature. In the interim, we plan on distributing a tech preview of DreamScene which will be available soon. Just so everyone knows, bsplayer has had this feature for years now.

Hmm... Does anyone know of any more static videos for use with Dreamscene? The waterfall and grass demos that Microsoft have shown off are great. I think with some time there will be some great sites for downloading short looping clips for use on the desktop but right now it's a bit primitive. Watching a full length video isn't my cup of tea, but moving water or grass swaying in the wind is just plain COOL!
