Let see...how did I really meet up with my girlfriend?

Over two years ago we first met, but back then she was just known to me as my best friend's sister and likewise - me just be her brother's weird friend. We both went to the same school, but nothing much came out of that. In 2006, we worked togther in the same store, so we saw quite a bit then but never really talked about much except work matters.

In November 2006, we saw each other more often as I'd have to give her a ride home or to work so then we started get to know each other a bit better. After some horrible arguement in December we had over some stupidness, we moved on from that and for some reason became closer. And alas, here we are now, just a couple days shy of one month togther. <333!!

Met my wife at a church function on Halloween.

We both took one look at eachother and thought we were jerks and didn't say anything for a couple of months. I had then gone through a bad breakup and she saw me down and took the time out to help me back up on my feet and we have been together since. Known each other for 15 years and married for 13 years. :)

See, there are females on this board!!11

See how easy it is to be one in a million?

While I'm still single (FWIW) I have figured out how to easily generate interest. Persephone got to like someone just by being around him a lot and him not being one of the 47,000,000 things she doesn't like. Getting familiar with a desirable someone is unlikely at work unless you happen to work at a modeling agency, movie studio, or an airport, and all too often those gals are too rich for you anyways. Comedians like to suggest the laundromat because those gals lack washing equipment but you can't show up there often enough to get to know anyone but the old lady that works in the back. So where can you meet attractive women that are sure to have less money than you and are often single? As a side benefit it would be handy if it were normal to hand them money since females are extremely responsive to green backs.

Where your thinking is not it. Those Vette driving gals throw more money away in a day than you'll see in a month. The right answer is restaurants. Quit eating ramen and Mom's cooking. Eat every day at one or a few restaurants, try to reduce your 47,000,000 foibles by a few and see what happens.

When you're dumb as a stick like I am it takes about a half dozen of these events before it becomes obvious what's going on. Now if only those pretty things that might be interested weren't half my age...

Before I right this, dont get me wrong or take me for being big headed. Im just an average guy, 28 now.

I never really had to actually pull a woman, they always seemed to make the first move. Even my last proper gf, of 3 years, came over to me in a night club and said hello.

This in itself is a bit of a curse though, now at 28 and single im having real trouble meeting anyone I like. Women just dont seem interested anymore, I dont get 'the look' from them, if I try to talk to them it goes nowhere.

I really dont think ive changed that much, so I blame Women, lol. Must have been all that 'Sex In The City' giving them ideas! :-) Im even considering speed dating, but im leaving that one for when I hit rock bottom.

I've known her since I was 12 at high school, and had been best of friends since. It's only been since May last year (or was it March [uh-oh, forgot when our anniversary is]) that we've been going out.

I would disagree, unless your standards are too high (models?). I heard a statistic claiming 80% of couples met through work. I think any place where you can get to know someone over time is a good start. Unless you just want a shag. Perhaps you watch too much porn?

I met my current Girlfriend through my Ex

My Ex and I are still good friends and she introduced us when we were chatting on MSN.

she was a exchange student that came from switzerland that stayed in our house for a year to study english and travel, we fell in love after 3 months. After the year was over, flew over and visited her, all up it lasted for one and a half years. Still love her, but yeah our time is gone.

So i went with mutual friend, as she came to our family through a previous exchange students recommendation.

Had another one for a month a few months ago, saw her around uni, got her msn, chatted to her for a few days on that, and were bf/gf a week later, but yeah that relationship didn't work that well... (in a comical way).

80% of the couples that met may have met at work but where are the statistics for the couples that didn't meet? The problem with work is that it is an environment you can't control. If there's eligible SO there then fine but what about when you work at a place where there is none? You find a place where you can control all the necessary elements to find someone.
