Contract details still have to be worked out and an announcement could come as early as tomorrow. I bet this is just a year or two thing and then Jason Garrett will have the job. That's why they went with this guy. But I sure hope he (Phillips) surprises me. In head coaching stints with Denver (1993-94) and Buffalo (1998-2000), Phillips compiled a 45-38 record, including the playoffs, and led his teams to three wild-card berthsWOW! I had thought his HC career had been a complete failure. I guess he didn't do as bad as I had remembered. If I'm not mistaken that's better then the Parcells record with Dallas the last few years.Parcells was 34-32 in Dallas, counting two playoff losses. Maybe there is SOME hope?
