funny that some of you mentioned the "ultimate" poker game.... imo that is not a good reason to expend that extra $$$...

Whenever getting a windows edition i always get the fully featured version. You never know when those little settings can come in handy. Although, to tell you the truth i haven't really made use of any of the ultimate features, except 1 game InkBall? i also find DreamScene a resource hog and gimmicky.

i don't use any, only reason i have vista is for DX10 not that i can play games with sound...

Dreamscene is cool, but gets boring fast.

I just got Ultimate because I didn't want an OS that was "missing" features :)

I use the following regularly: BitLocker, DreamScene, IIS, Media Centre and joining a domain.

I had to purchase Ultimate because I wanted Remote Desktop and Media Center. That combined functionality is not in Business or Home Premium but I would have purchased one of those if it did.

So, in essence, the only Ultimate "feature" is Ultimate Extras. What's really unique about the SKU is the combination of features.

Same here plus DreamScene. Media Center is so cool. :D
