They look like test shots to see how the costume would look it certain lighting or poses. I don't think these are final.

I dont' think they're wax models. Look at the bottom close up and you can see the persons real teeth behind the fake ones. A wax model wouldn't have that.

I like the new Venom, it took me a bit to adapt, but I figure if they used the big bulky Venom it woulden't translate well at all. It would end up looking too cartoony I think.

I'm more excited for Carnage anyway, if he ends up being in one of the next Spiderman movies.

Haha... Gladly, I won't be seeing you in the theater.... it's a MOVIE.

Sheesh... fanboys are so anoying.

There's nothing he said to imply that he's a fanboy. Did you know that by calling him that you can actually get warned?

You're also letting yourself be annoyed by something you read on the INTERNET...sheesh. People don't know how to click the back button.

I'm surprised they haven't brought in "The Shocker". He seemed like he was always around in the cartoon.

I rember when i was a kid it was always Spiderman versus: "The Shocker", "Mysterio" (You know, the dude with the globe on his head), or "Doctor Octopus". I watched the cartoon mainly. To this day i rember how they would throw in couple cool story lines like Venom and the black suit, and then like the next few episodes would be endless proxy conflicts with random mediocre characters like "Mysterio" or that lizard dude.

Lizard was awesome.

Talking to MTV, Topher Grace says Eddie Brock/Venom will have his way with Spidey in Spider-Man 3:

"You like Spider-Man," Topher Grace grinned last week, "but isn't it about time that somebody kicked his ass?" Now, with only six weeks left until the release of "Spider-Man 3," the man who will soon be known as Venom is promising we'll finally see Peter Parker getting pummeled. "He kicks Spider-Man's ass," Grace grinned, reflecting on his black-suited supervillain. "It was interesting, and it was hard. I had to do a lot of working out, which is very new to me. ... I play a bad guy, so that was a very different experience for me, acting-wise." Cast alongside series stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco, the "That '70s Show" star insisted he'll be right there in line with the rest of us come May 4. "I'm the guy that's going to be driving around to theaters opening weekend to watch it," he smiled. "I used to collect the comic books, and I'm pretty geeked out about it."

Doesn't spiderman get his ass kicked in the previous movies? If i rember correctly, by the end of both movies he's beaten to hell and his suit is all torn up.

Reasons why Venom is so "skinny" is because it's NOT eddie brock..from the comics..if you watched 300 you'll see in the trailer topher mentions "This is eddie brock jr." probably from spiderman universe comic series...where the symbiote also doesn't come from space but instead is some kinda engineered suit.

The sneaky folks at Yahoo! Movies have posted a second version of the final Spider-Man 3 trailer which includes a new shot of Venom flying towards you. It's not the scene where Topher Grace is first turned into Venom, but a later scene. Check it out here! Thanks to all the fans for alerting us to that extra bit.

Two more additional TV spots have appeared online as well and can be view here and here.

    • Researchers claim Microsoft's quantum breakthrough is flawed by basic Python errors by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft's aggressive roadmap to deliver a commercial quantum supercomputer by 2029 has now hit a bit of a snag, and it's not because of a complex sub-zero dilution refrigerator, but rather because of a few lines of basic Python code. A new critique published in the scientific journal Nature argues that simple software errors effectively manufactured the breakthrough that Microsoft's foundational research claimed back in 2025 into Majorana-based topological qubits. Topological quantum computing, the path that Microsoft chose for its research, relies on creating and controlling "Majorana zero modes." These are exotic quasiparticles that theoretically offer vastly superior error resistance compared to the highly sensitive superconducting qubits currently being championed by rivals like Google and IBM. However, physically proving you have created these particles requires sifting through massive amounts of complex electrical conductance data to isolate a specific "topological gap." Because of the sheer volume of data, physicists rely heavily on custom software pipelines to process the results. This is where the Python scripts come in. Now, according to the critique, Microsoft’s data processing software contained fundamental programming errors that ultimately skewed the published results. By mishandling data arrays or deploying incorrect logic within the Python script, the software supposedly discarded "noisy" or contradictory data. Which is why it only highlighted the specific electrical measurements that supported the topological-gap claim. The researchers behind the critique argued that this makes the findings invalid, suggesting the heralded "quantum leap" was actually a false positive generated by bad code and not a product of groundbreaking physics. However, Microsoft is pushing back hard against these allegations. The Redmond giant has formally rejected the criticism, saying that it's just a minor anomaly rather than a fatal flaw. According to the company, while there may have been a minor oversight in the data parsing scripts, it does not alter the fundamental reality of their physical experiment. Just weeks ago, Microsoft unveiled the Majorana 2 quantum processor, a milestone so significant that the company boldly accelerated its timeline for a commercial quantum supercomputer from 2035 down to 2029. But the new software allegations reopen an old wound. Microsoft's quantum division faced a remarkably similar crisis when a landmark 2018 paper on Majorana particles was famously retracted in 2021 after independent physicists discovered the data had been inappropriately cropped. That historical baggage makes the current Python-related allegations particularly sensitive. If the foundational math and data processing for the 2025 breakthrough are genuinely flawed, the highly anticipated 2029 commercial timeline could easily be delayed or, worse, cancelled.
