pssst ... :shifty: .... It's just a gimmick by Disney to sell you DVD's.

From the website: "You can earn points when you purchase any of these select Disney DVDs."

NOTE: It sounds as if all eligible movies purchased earn points -- there is nothing inside the DVD !

Look at the eligible movie list to see what points you have earned, for buying a particular movie:

http://disney.eprize.net/movierewards/inde...eligible+movies

Terms & Conditions:

E. Collecting Points

1. Collect points by purchasing and entering codes from specially marked Disney DVDs, Disney Blu-ray discs, select Disney movie tickets, answering specially identified surveys and/or trivia questions, or other methods, at any time during the Collection Period, available while supplies last. Locate the code inside package or on promotional items, designated by Sponsor. Go to www.DisneyMovieRewards.com during the Collection Period and follow the links and instructions to either register (as set forth above) or enter your email address and password on the Introduction page and click on the Go button in the Login section (if you already have registered). After registering/logging in, click on the Enter Code button near the top of the page and enter your code(s) where indicated. Enrollees may collect points for each specially marked product purchased and/or other methods of obtaining codes as described on the Website during the Collection Period. The current list of products and corresponding point values for each is located at http://disney.eprize.net/movierewards/inde...eligible_movies. Sponsor reserves the right to change the number of points awarded for purchases at any time during the Program. At various times during the Program, Sponsor will declare Bonus Points periods during which the number of points earned from purchases or other methods will increase (e.g. double, triple). The Website will indicate whether there is an active Bonus Points period in effect. Enrollees who enter codes to credit their Accounts during Bonus Points periods will earn the corresponding increase in the number of points as set forth on the Website.

2. Enrollees may also collect points by referring friends to the Program who ultimately enroll in the Program. As an Enrollee, you can click on the Refer A Friend button located on the Website, following which you will be invited to submit the names and email addresses of friends who must be eligible to participate in the Program. Each person that you refer will receive an email solely notifying them about the Program. Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Inc., Disney Enterprises, Inc., their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, or any of their agents, advertising, promotional and other agencies will not collect any information about any friend unless that friend later enrolls in the Program. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing relationship. For the first ten (10) friends you refer who subsequently enroll in the Program, you will be given five (5) points for a maximum total of fifty (50) points during the Collection Period. You will not receive codes for such referrals, rather points will be credited directly to your Account.

3. Codes can only be used one (1) time. For Disney DVD releases, limit one (1) code per title regardless of media (e.g., DVD, Blu-ray) per Account. Limit: Enrollee cannot enter more than 10 invalid codes within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

4. Enrollees may not combine or transfer points with other Enrollees Accounts. Enrollees may not combine codes obtained by others for deposit into a single Enrollees account, nor transfer, sell, or otherwise dispose of codes in any manner in violation or attempted subversion of these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to combine or transfer codes or points will result in disqualification from the Program and forfeiture of all points in any Enrollees Account. Sponsor reserves the right to take any other or additional action it deems appropriate in its sole discretion in the event that Sponsor believes (in its sole discretion) that an Enrollee (or Enrollees) have violated this provision.

5. Sponsor reserves the right to change, add, or remove the methods by which Enrollees can collect points. Enrollees are responsible for the payment of all taxes which may result from the reward(s) received as part of the Program.

6. Once an Enrollee inputs a code, the validation of the code and potential points earned will be subject to verification by a judging organization whose decisions on the outcome are at its sole discretion and are final and binding. Points will not be awarded until after the verification process is complete. Codes are void if (a) not obtained in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and through legitimate channels or (b) any part is counterfeit, altered, defective, tampered with or irregular in any way. The corresponding number of points will appear in the appropriate Enrollees Account within 5 business days after completion of the validation process, however, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to award points later than 5 business days if additional time is needed for any reason.

9. Enrollees must save the original official code document as well as any confirmation emails referencing points credited to their account for at least ninety (90) days after the date Enrollee redeems an item online, as it may be necessary to later submit codes for verification. Sponsor reserves the right to require proof including, but not limited to, the original official code document(s) and proof of purchase materials. Sponsors decisions regarding the awarding of points are final and binding. Validated codes that are subsequently determined to be invalid for any reason are subject to disqualification and the corresponding points will be removed from the Enrollee's Account to which the invalid Validated points were credited.

10. Enrollees may collect points in the manner set forth above during the Collection Period, unless extended or otherwise modified by Sponsor.

Just wanted to add, that as far as I know, Disney must legally say, if there are '1 in 10 odds', or whatever odds that you'll have a code in the DVD.

Nothing like that is in the T & C., so every movie on the eligible list should earn you points.

Look around more for a code.

Usually a promotion like that would be specifically marked on the packages that contain the codes... probably like a sticker or something on the plastic wrap saying theres a code inside.

They dont, the packadge is just a standard packadge for a dvd nothings different about them. You wouldnt know a promotion was going on unless you opened it and saw the piece of paper inside that says it... we got 4 movies so far that had the card in them, but the last one we got didnt even though it says it is supose to online... We've found many people posting online saying that disney forgot to put the code sheet inside... which kind of makes me think that they are forgetting or just not putting them in for some reason...

there is not "odds" in getting one, every movie is supose to have a code that is in the list and the code is on a piece of card stock that says "disney movie rewards" on it when a white rectangle on the bottom with a code... you cant miss it if you look... so far the two fox in the hound movies we've had, had NO papers in it... do know if walmart did something to them or what (i doubt it) but even the contents paper (which I know this movie has a listing of the chapters in it included!) has no been in there either twice... its like the production group that our store got they just didnt put anything in...

I'm sorry but all you told us is stuff we already know... We know its a gimic like the coke rewards or what not.. but when you see something on the rewards list you want that you cant buy anywhere else, you do the program.. especially when little kids who want it are involved also... and yes all the movies we have are from that list, all 4 of them had codes so far but the 5th one did not... the code is on a card and there was no papers included with either of them... I guess you can go through this long process with disney to get a missing code... but knowing our luck when that is done the item will be gone.... you can call them fax them the upc then send them the real one for verification then they will eventually (after 4-6 weeks) give you a new code....

This is what the card looks like.. so I am sure im not just missing it :)

nevermind! turns out if you call Disney then fax them the receipt and the UPC they will email you new codes to replace the missing ones... yay! (just for those wondering no this cant be abused because the system is set up you can only enter a movie's code once so each movie title can only be used once, cant enter it twice)

    • IT admins feel overwhelmingly "sick of" Microsoft and Windows 11 "garbage" apps, products by Sayan Sen From time to time, Microsoft brings changes to Windows 11, like improvements to its core features, such as the Start menu. One such change began rolling out recently with new policies, alongside a major bug fix that finally came after a year. However, not every change or "improvement" Microsoft makes may land. For example, earlier today, we wrote an article on the user reaction to an earlier design choice Microsoft made on Windows 10, when it was making an updated system specs page. You can read about the response, which was mostly negative, in our report here. Aside from general home users, professionals too, or at least some of them, are not very satisfied with Microsoft's overall policies and product functionalities. There are multiple instances of people ranting and complaining online, highlighting various issues they are facing or have faced recently when working with Microsoft products like Windows 11 or other Microsoft 365-based apps. For example, one such user, nostradamefrus, shared their experience on Reddit wherein they had to deal with an apparently buggy patch that broke authentication on Microsoft 365 apps when using RDS (Remote Desktop Services). The user wrote: "I'm so sick of Microsoft ... Their latest security patch broke probably our most important business app and uninstalling the patch breaks auth with 365 apps in RDS environments. So the options are either "you can't use the app" or "you can't use any Office 365 product" until they clean up their mess. But shoving Copilot into every facet of existence is what's really important, right? Someone break this company up already" On a separate thread, another Reddit user made a sarcastic post about the difficulties of working with Microsoft Graph PowerShell due to some of the command complexities. A commenter Trelfar chimed in, saying that much of it had to do with how it's inherently designed and alleged that it was done in that way by Microsoft to save time and budget. The words were certainly pretty harsh as they wrote: "The key to understanding why some of the commands are garbage is that every command is a wrapper that calls the native Graph API which requires JSON params, and many of them were procedurally implemented based on the underlying API so they could hit release ahead of the deprecation deadline for the modules it was replacing (like the AzureAD module). ... In short, it wasn't a design choice to make it work like this, it was a time/budget compromise to not put the effort in for some of the commands." Finally, a user Godzillian123, who is clearly very displeased about having to work daily with the management and deployment of Windows apps in their enterprise environment. The Redditor writes: "I wake up every day with but one lamenting thought in my head. That I will be having to deal with WindowsApps and appx style application at my organisation, for another day .... Sincerely whoever designed this. You are an idiot. .... you take the cake for biggest smart idiot award. I'm sure you think you are very clever, after all you architected a whole fresh new method of software deployment for your garbage Operating System that is still based on Windows NT. ..... Please reconsider your life choices and just throw this entire Microsoft store into the bin where it belongs, far away from enterprise machines where system admins live and don't have time to learn how your misguided application system design works." Interestingly, each and every one of these posts has been overwhelmingly upvoted by others in the sysadmin subreddit, indicating that these resonated with them. Of course, not everyone likely agrees, but they are probably in the minority. We also know Neowin is visited and read by many IT admins as well. Let us know in the comments below whether you feel the same way or whether you think they are simply overblown reactions from some frustrated, or perhaps overworked, employees.
