pssst ... :shifty: .... It's just a gimmick by Disney to sell you DVD's.

From the website: "You can earn points when you purchase any of these select Disney DVDs."

NOTE: It sounds as if all eligible movies purchased earn points -- there is nothing inside the DVD !

Look at the eligible movie list to see what points you have earned, for buying a particular movie:

http://disney.eprize.net/movierewards/inde...eligible+movies

Terms & Conditions:

E. Collecting Points

1. Collect points by purchasing and entering codes from specially marked Disney DVDs, Disney Blu-ray discs, select Disney movie tickets, answering specially identified surveys and/or trivia questions, or other methods, at any time during the Collection Period, available while supplies last. Locate the code inside package or on promotional items, designated by Sponsor. Go to www.DisneyMovieRewards.com during the Collection Period and follow the links and instructions to either register (as set forth above) or enter your email address and password on the Introduction page and click on the Go button in the Login section (if you already have registered). After registering/logging in, click on the Enter Code button near the top of the page and enter your code(s) where indicated. Enrollees may collect points for each specially marked product purchased and/or other methods of obtaining codes as described on the Website during the Collection Period. The current list of products and corresponding point values for each is located at http://disney.eprize.net/movierewards/inde...eligible_movies. Sponsor reserves the right to change the number of points awarded for purchases at any time during the Program. At various times during the Program, Sponsor will declare Bonus Points periods during which the number of points earned from purchases or other methods will increase (e.g. double, triple). The Website will indicate whether there is an active Bonus Points period in effect. Enrollees who enter codes to credit their Accounts during Bonus Points periods will earn the corresponding increase in the number of points as set forth on the Website.

2. Enrollees may also collect points by referring friends to the Program who ultimately enroll in the Program. As an Enrollee, you can click on the Refer A Friend button located on the Website, following which you will be invited to submit the names and email addresses of friends who must be eligible to participate in the Program. Each person that you refer will receive an email solely notifying them about the Program. Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Inc., Disney Enterprises, Inc., their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, or any of their agents, advertising, promotional and other agencies will not collect any information about any friend unless that friend later enrolls in the Program. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing relationship. For the first ten (10) friends you refer who subsequently enroll in the Program, you will be given five (5) points for a maximum total of fifty (50) points during the Collection Period. You will not receive codes for such referrals, rather points will be credited directly to your Account.

3. Codes can only be used one (1) time. For Disney DVD releases, limit one (1) code per title regardless of media (e.g., DVD, Blu-ray) per Account. Limit: Enrollee cannot enter more than 10 invalid codes within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

4. Enrollees may not combine or transfer points with other Enrollees Accounts. Enrollees may not combine codes obtained by others for deposit into a single Enrollees account, nor transfer, sell, or otherwise dispose of codes in any manner in violation or attempted subversion of these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to combine or transfer codes or points will result in disqualification from the Program and forfeiture of all points in any Enrollees Account. Sponsor reserves the right to take any other or additional action it deems appropriate in its sole discretion in the event that Sponsor believes (in its sole discretion) that an Enrollee (or Enrollees) have violated this provision.

5. Sponsor reserves the right to change, add, or remove the methods by which Enrollees can collect points. Enrollees are responsible for the payment of all taxes which may result from the reward(s) received as part of the Program.

6. Once an Enrollee inputs a code, the validation of the code and potential points earned will be subject to verification by a judging organization whose decisions on the outcome are at its sole discretion and are final and binding. Points will not be awarded until after the verification process is complete. Codes are void if (a) not obtained in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and through legitimate channels or (b) any part is counterfeit, altered, defective, tampered with or irregular in any way. The corresponding number of points will appear in the appropriate Enrollees Account within 5 business days after completion of the validation process, however, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to award points later than 5 business days if additional time is needed for any reason.

9. Enrollees must save the original official code document as well as any confirmation emails referencing points credited to their account for at least ninety (90) days after the date Enrollee redeems an item online, as it may be necessary to later submit codes for verification. Sponsor reserves the right to require proof including, but not limited to, the original official code document(s) and proof of purchase materials. Sponsors decisions regarding the awarding of points are final and binding. Validated codes that are subsequently determined to be invalid for any reason are subject to disqualification and the corresponding points will be removed from the Enrollee's Account to which the invalid Validated points were credited.

10. Enrollees may collect points in the manner set forth above during the Collection Period, unless extended or otherwise modified by Sponsor.

Just wanted to add, that as far as I know, Disney must legally say, if there are '1 in 10 odds', or whatever odds that you'll have a code in the DVD.

Nothing like that is in the T & C., so every movie on the eligible list should earn you points.

Look around more for a code.

Usually a promotion like that would be specifically marked on the packages that contain the codes... probably like a sticker or something on the plastic wrap saying theres a code inside.

They dont, the packadge is just a standard packadge for a dvd nothings different about them. You wouldnt know a promotion was going on unless you opened it and saw the piece of paper inside that says it... we got 4 movies so far that had the card in them, but the last one we got didnt even though it says it is supose to online... We've found many people posting online saying that disney forgot to put the code sheet inside... which kind of makes me think that they are forgetting or just not putting them in for some reason...

there is not "odds" in getting one, every movie is supose to have a code that is in the list and the code is on a piece of card stock that says "disney movie rewards" on it when a white rectangle on the bottom with a code... you cant miss it if you look... so far the two fox in the hound movies we've had, had NO papers in it... do know if walmart did something to them or what (i doubt it) but even the contents paper (which I know this movie has a listing of the chapters in it included!) has no been in there either twice... its like the production group that our store got they just didnt put anything in...

I'm sorry but all you told us is stuff we already know... We know its a gimic like the coke rewards or what not.. but when you see something on the rewards list you want that you cant buy anywhere else, you do the program.. especially when little kids who want it are involved also... and yes all the movies we have are from that list, all 4 of them had codes so far but the 5th one did not... the code is on a card and there was no papers included with either of them... I guess you can go through this long process with disney to get a missing code... but knowing our luck when that is done the item will be gone.... you can call them fax them the upc then send them the real one for verification then they will eventually (after 4-6 weeks) give you a new code....

This is what the card looks like.. so I am sure im not just missing it :)

nevermind! turns out if you call Disney then fax them the receipt and the UPC they will email you new codes to replace the missing ones... yay! (just for those wondering no this cant be abused because the system is set up you can only enter a movie's code once so each movie title can only be used once, cant enter it twice)

    • The lack of good content sources is becoming very clear. Slow news day? Fine, let's fabricate another "X is happening because 3 randos on Reddit are complaining" article...
    • Sorry but whoever he is, he is right. Microsoft can’t seem to be able to make a decent photo editor or movie editor for Windows. Apple crushes them in that area. If I was Microsoft, I would buy out CapCut and integrate it into Windows so the OS can have a decent movie editor because that garbage editor it comes with it’s just that, garbage.
    • Copilot itself doesn't know what model it's using. Gemini say Copilot is using the ChatGPT 5 family. And my GPT says the same.
    • You can easily go overboard here. From what you are saying, it is a home office, a future NAS, a few client devices and one maybe two wireless access points. Many of the above tips are great and completely spot on, but are aimed at larger setups. If you are interested in networking and want to play or want to pursue a networking interest for your career then exposure to the tips above is a good idea. If however the network is something you want to largely get right and forget about for 5-10 years then for your home you can dial it back.   Perhaps some questions to help focus in on requirements: How many wired network connections do you need now? Count up all the devices. Assume for a SOHO NAS you'll be using two network ports. This - with a sensible growth factor - defines the minimum switch size. Do you have any idea how many wireless access points you'll need to give the coverage of your house/flat that you want? Might you move within the life of this equipment and need to change "everything"? Or might you want coverage over multiple floors/out into a garden? Do you currently have any signal problems or dead zones? Is there any interest in adding CCTV now or in the future? Are you a heavy IoT/wi-fi smart home device user or do you avoid these things? Are you in a flat, or a bungalow, two-story, three-story house? Will you need to get many wired connections between floors or is everything concentrated with only a couple of wireless access points in the upstairs/basement spaces?   In terms of cost savings If you are not certain on wireless access point densities, but have a scaled floor plan to hand, try plugging it into the Ubiquiti designer -https://design.ui.com/ (Create project in the bottom right, then find the floor plan option in the menu and upload the image(s). Don't forget to set the scale before drawing in some walls and dragging a couple of  AP's in to see what you might expect to receive). You will want to get 2.5GbE ports, but not necessarily all 2.5GbE. Modern wireless access points increasingly use 2.5GbE even if your equipment is only on 1GbE. 5GbE might be worth considering, but will change the price point. You can pick up very inexpensive 2.5GbE / 5GbE USB adapters and PCIe adapters for your larger devices if you don't have anything over 1GbE (you can even use them with some SmartTV's which tend to only be 100Mbps too). The same for replacing old Wi-fi chips in laptops and micro PCs (they tend to be replaceable) and this will give you more incentive to push for better equipment out the gate. As has been said by others, if you are pulling cables through walls, floors or ducting. Spend now and don't regret it later. If you are making outdoor runs, invest in the correct shielded cabling now and ensure that it is earthed. Cat6 will run 10GbE provided that the run distance isn't excessive. If you need the full 100m run though, go for 6a. Keep in mind that 6a is stiffer, heavier, harder to terminate and more expensive, so you could compromise with 6a between floors and then Cat6 into rooms. Get a decent router. Get away from the junk your ISP will provide you with. It will give you options and will last a LONG time. You will be able to move ISP without second thought if you have a decent router as a base. If you are techy and want all the toys and options, something like a NetGate appliance / a pfSense Community self build (there are plenty of reasonably cheap small form factor chassis you can pickup for this on Amazon etc). If you just want something to work and be easy to configure and find help for though, Ubiquiti. Whether you need Power Over Ethernet (PoE) depends upon your appetite for PoE devices. If you need more than a couple of PoE devices, then a switch is worth considering - CCTV, access points, door security. If you have zero interest in any of that and will only wind up with one or two access points in the long run, and IF you are able to put them near 120/240v power, then a couple of PoE injectors and plugging them into the wall will save you money. If you change your mind later and start accumulating PoE devices though, you will regret not getting PoE now. Space: large switches with high port densities, PoE, redundancy, SFP ports (for fibre optics or 10/25GbE) quickly become big devices. If you don't have a comms room in mind and don't want them on display in your home, then keep in mind that you might not want to start exploring prosumer and SMB networking equipment for your home.    If you can offer us some of the answers to these questions and your thinking on needs, perhaps we can help you drill into the 'what' 🙂
