Microsoft Teases Exclusives

Hmm interesting...Never thought about the Halo 3 Beta date until DL mentioned it....If they announce the 'Elite' wouldn't the 120Gb be officially unveiled at the same time? Just wouldn't make sense not too. :shifty:

And for the second announcement...how about Free XBL Gold for all!

Hehehe. *shuts door behind himself*

Actually, if all Spartan's teasing back then are true, then a new announcement about Xbox Live would be possible.

If they announce the X360 Elite and free online multiplayer today (and or tomorrow), the will be well on the way of winning the console war without a sweat.

don't know if this will have something to do with it but here is what I read on http://www.zunecorps.com/

Zune Firmware Update TOMORROW!

Zune insider just gave zune users this great news, ?Ok, dear blog reader: Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28, you?ll be able to download firmware update 1.3. Mea culpa on communicating a non-final date in my earlier post (which ended up being wrong). Just to recap, here?s what?s in the update:

* We?re fixing the skipping problem that some users were experiencing ? that is, content acquired from Zune Marketplace will no longer skip when played on the device.

* Improved device and software reliability, when it comes to device detection, and improved sync?ing.

* We?ve made some changes to the FM Tuner so it no longer drains the battery when in sleep mode. ?

The post would go on to say that the Zune team is always looking for ways to improve the device. It has been a while, but it is finally here!

think it will be playing against people online who has the XBox.

Or day one could be the reveal of a new console and day two they could reveal that you can play the games against other people on PC and the console. I wonder if the Microsoft rep who came into my work eailier this week knew about this.

I also heard there is going to be a re-launch of Vista and Office.

I was thinking that could be part of the announcement. Would make sense when the Spring 07 update is finally out. However I still hope there's an announcement in there that even those of us who have the whole "free silver multiplayer" notion in our head won't anticipate.

Why would Microsoft hype something like that?

I also heard there is going to be a re-launch of Vista and Office.

And a re-launch of Vista and Office, so soon after they're release. It seems the first launch of Vista went as well as could be hoped for, for Microsoft.... ;)

Why is everyone so exited about Xbox 360 Elite. I feel like am being ripped off cuz I was one of the early adopters of the console. Why 10 million ppl wont have the freaking HDMI socket?

I mean come on Microsoft atleast release a HDMI cable for the existing X360s. Its just like saying hey why dont you pay 400 dollars every year to keep you console current. What a load of crap. I'm p***ed.

Hope they think about the 10 mil gamers before announcing anything.

Looks like a newspaper let it leak:

REDMOND, Wash. -- Microsoft Corp. will sell a version of its Xbox 360 with a 120-gigabyte hard drive and a souped-up high-definition video connection in a bid to broaden the appeal of its popular console beyond video games.

Earlier versions of Xbox 360 came with 20 gigabytes of storage. But that filled up too quickly with movies, TV shows and games from the Xbox Live Marketplace online store, said Peter Moore, a corporate vice president in Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment group.

The new Xbox 360 Elite will sell for $479.99. Consumers who already own the $399.99 20-gigabyte model will be able to buy a snap-on 120-gigabyte hard drive for $179.99.

The new console and the drive are expected to hit U.S. shelves April 29.

    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
