Really updated from 7.2? or from earlier?

I have a Dell 1505 also with an x1400 and after the detecting Hardware stage it won't let me click 'next' because the latest are already installed aparently :s

You are not alone here, I have a Dell E1505/6400 with an ATi X1400 also and it says the same thing for me.

I wonder what is the deal here.

Interesting, I when back to ATI website to if possibly there was an update for Vista and my X1400 and the driver selectin page directs my back to version 7.2, yesterday it direct me to 7.3.

Ati took the honor of bsod'ing my Vista install for the first time, workaround provided in the article worked nicely though.

Of course now I can't start CCC for some reason..

Dood! That's exactly what happened to my system. I ended up reformatting ... lol. Also, CCC wouldn't start with mine either so I went back to 7.2.

i had 3 bsods after installing these 7.3's. in safe mode theres no issue whatsoever.. after my 4th attempt to restart it finally decided to work...

i uninstalled previous 7.2's and installed 7.3's with no issues. for some reason the bsods were not logged by the even viewer as gfx related.. or ati driver related .!?!

I want to make very soon (maybe tomorrow) a fresh Vista Ultimate x64 install, I hope I won't have BSOD if I install 7.3....

Chances are if you were getting one before, you will get one after the clean install. It happened to me yesterday. Since there was NO way to tell it was from the graphics drive, I thought Vista was bugging out. So, I formatted and proceeded to install the 7.3's again. As soon as I rebooted, bam, another BSOD. Had to do a system restore and install the 7.2's. Since then it's been working great.

I hesitate to install 7.2 or try 7.3..... I think it's a risk if I install 7.3....
