Video Appears Green on HDTV

Recommended Posts

I'm having a bit of trouble playing back my Xvid movies on my new HDTV. It's hooked up as a secondary monitor using a VGA cable. The movies are being played in Media Player Classic under Windows Vista. The colour of the desktop/images is fine on the HDTV, but whenever I playback AVI files (Xvid mainly), the video appears green (most noticable in dark scenes). I have managed to overcome the green issue by setting my output method to VMR9 (windowed), but when I do that, the video appears significantly more pixelated (especially network logos).

The colour is fine on my main screen, and does appear to be better in Windows Media Player, but suffers from tearing.

Any suggestions? :)
