WelshBluebird
you don't have to use a credit card. You can go into any game store and buy them. In the UK, its 2100 points for about ?17-18. For free you get: updates (so bug fixes basically) Some game content (some maps or cars etc can be got for free, but not that many) Game demos Game / movie trailers
Smashing Pumpkin
Awesome, so it's not a problem if I just want to download updates, demos, trilers and the free game content at a friends house. I can still use that perfectly on another console that it wasn't downloaded onto. Just for note, how large is a demo usually? If I'm gonna have 13GB and nothing big apart from demos to put on it, I wonder how many I can get :p Thanks Richard xxx
WelshBluebird
that would be fine (I was able to play my demos and the GTA IV trailer over my friends anyway). As for sizes, they vary. The smallest I've seen was about 450MB, but they range up to 1GB and a little bigger. At a guess, I'd say the average is about 900MB (could be way out though, as I'm only going by the demos I've looked into).
Smashing Pumpkin
For what I want I may as well save some money and buy a second hand HDD right? Would there be any issues there with it coming from a different console? Thanks Richard xxx
