This update fixes a problem in which a calendar item that is marked as private is opened if it is found by using the Search Desktop feature. The update also fixes performance issues that occur when you work with items in a large .pst file or .ost file.

Ah... I figured out what was wrong ... I use a *cough* copy of Front Page 2003, and it was blocking the download, uninstall that it works.

And that update definatly sped up my Outlook... Used to take near a minute to open now it was 10 seconds

I've manually installed the update as it does not appear on windows update. I have noticed a massive improvement in performance, it now only takes a few seconds to load up.

hmm you seem to be in the minority, i find that emails load faster and images in emails also load faster. its generally more responsive.

Outlook now opens INSTANTLY! Browsing my AOL Mail account is much faster now, before the update it used to hang for a couple of seconds, it really frustrated me.
