Are we facing another war in the Middle East?

Recommended Posts

After the israeli Winograd report has been partialy published in public (we specify the failures of the previous war) , and the joy of the arab world, in addition to the Syrian foreign minister Faruq-Ashara, who said the "the resistance" will grow stronger, and the Hizballah leader Nasserallah joy and threats on israel.

and of course we shall not forget that, syria and iran are moving large amounts of weapons to lebanon, not forgetting "Tourists" which are actually soldiers from iran.

are we facing "act 2" of that war this summer?

I truly and sadly believe so, but this time, it will not be just between israel and the Hizballah, i afraid it will be in much greater scale.

what is your opinion?

For the mods, please edit my title,"was" suppose to be "War".

thanks.

You'd probably know better than I would... The Arabs could nuke Israel and everyone would still sympathize with them in order to spite Israel (yeah I'm exaggerating just a tiny bit)...

I can guarantee you, the situation in this region is much worse than is might seems. and it might deteriorate quickly.

Hizballah is gaining military and civil power, Iran is getting grip in syria and lebanon, syria is recruiting army and getting set up for a war, drills and what ever, divisions are on the israeli-syrian border. silos of concrete bunkers with scuds are just ready to be launched, hizballah has crossed the lithani river and back on the israeli border.

this is a region on the edge of a real turmoil.

no one speaks about it.

i hope, that i am wrong, but the situation is very very bad.

Iran is not an Arab state btw. In fact, most Arabs despise Iranians (and vice versa). They don't even share the same religious sect as Arab countries; 93% of the Iranian population is Shiaa.

LOL

1) No Arab country has nuclear capability

2) Get your hand out of thee sand and look around you...if there's anyone not getting enough sympathy, it's the teenager throwing rocks at the trained soldier with the AK...

that kid may have nothing to do with terrorists yet he is called so, and when he is shot (unarmed), he dies unremembered and unmentioned in the news...just another dead 'terrorist'.

My mom told me not to throw rocks at people holding guns. Not to be unsympathetic but they qualify to get their headlines in the Darwin awards.

1) i never said that iran is an arabic state, but when iran will have nukes, there will be an "nuclear umbrella" (for terrorists to hide) to all arab world and countries so it is equivalent.

2) teenager throwing rocks on a trained soldier... well, 1st, israel is not using AK's, only palestinians does, israel is using M-16 and flatops.

but try teenager is throwing molotovs, and firing an AK, it will suit the situation more accurately.

pakistan is not arabic state btw...

Note about my original post: I mean M16, not AK - M16, I think, is the primary rifle used by the IDF.

Pakistan?

Islamic country, not Arab. People should really get acquainted with those...

for now, here's something to remember: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Turkey and Iran are NOT Arab states. They are Islamic countries who DON'T speak Arabic as a first language.

Well, you don't see bulldozers rolling into your town leveling your house, do you?! I think it's the best they can do. Some of them are plain nuts, some of them are stupid but others really can do nothing else.

1) I know you didn't say that. I just wanted to clear it up before someone built an argument on it. The point I made for you was the comment that ensued: Arab states are not in good terms with Iran, especially the stronger Arab states such as Egypt or Saudi Arabia. The only two countries which Iran sympathizes with are Syria and Palastine...and even so, there is no formal alliance. They're just doing that to spite Israel. The way I see it, if you can clear the air with Iran you have nothing to worry about. It's the only real threat...considering Israel or the US don't pull another 'Operation Opera'.

2) Yeah lol, I don't know why I said AK...I guess I was just typing really fast and I failed to recognize that.

Notice I established a claer line between terrorist, fanatic and teenager who's living in an occupied land. In every bunch of 100 students confronting the IDF, I'd say at least 90-95% are not using any more lethal weapons than their counterpart.

1) I know. I was speaking hypothetical in case you didn't notice.

2) Well see, I'm in a temperate area, so since you're (were? seems your location has dropped) in Egypt, there's probably a lot more sand for you to bury your head in. Those teenagers are pretty much the only reason why my sympathy for the Palestinians on a scale from 1 to 10 would be a 2 instead of a 0.

How much do you know about the Israel-Palestine conflict anyway?!

Apparently you don't even know what ad hominem is. I'm not arguing about the conflict. It's been done so much on this board, and everyone who has an opinion has already made up their minds. If I was actually arguing with you, then there would be room for ad hominem. I'm not. Now, since apparently you think we are arguing over something, yes, that would make your statement an ad hominem attack.

where'd get that from?

Anyway, This is a self created problem created by listening to "World Opinion" and stopping the war in the middle. Dont know how long it'll take you guys to realize that world opinion is not worth rats a**. atleast 1/3rd of world hate you guys anyway.

India IS NOT an Islamic country.

India IS NOT an Islamic country.

There are over 152 million Muslims in India and their growth rate are easily out-pacing other groups.

There are not too many countries that have more Muslims than India.

ok Muslims have the highest population growth rate. Still India is not a Islamic Country. Its constitutionally and functionally secular country and 80% of the population is Hindu.

1) not in a good terms it might be, but those who hit and hide are. i mean ofcouse to the terrorists. (palestine is not a country -yet- btw, but it will be).

2) Iran is not the only threat, saying that is being blind, syria is in much better military condition than it ever was (with thehelp of iran), have massive amount of scuds (not the toys hizballah launched last summer, Fajr), and have commando, something they haven't had in years. not to forget that syrian official said "the resistance will continue and grow stronger".

i'm not really afraid of them, but it seems like the war is getting much closer, and they just waiting to the ground to get dry from the winter.

Operation Opera was good because iraq had 1 facility, iran decentralized them (which implies on a war rather them peace proposals).

well, IDF is not the only one who using human shields unfortunately. when they shoot from a demonstration the people there are the human shields.

where'd get that from?

Analysts who researched that region for years, and some other sources.

    • What? They aren't removing the disc drive and charging $800 for questionable performance upgrades that are better suited to a new generation console? How outrageous!

    • Google's NotebookLM gets some useful features you may have been waiting for by Aditya Tiwari It's been three years since Google introduced its AI-powered note-taking and research app, NotebookLM. Just when Apple is about to kick off WWDC 2026, the search giant has announced a platter of new NotebookLM features that add agentic capabilities in chat and more advanced reasoning. For starters, NotebookLM now draws its fuel from Gemini 3.5 and Antigravity to improve accuracy and reliability. One of the things people have been asking for a long time is more transparency into the thinking steps. NotebookLM now shows expanded thinking steps in chat, providing better visibility into the thinking process. Google compared the upgraded NotebookLM with prior versions and found that it "achieved an average win rate of over 65% — a 15% point margin above parity — across our top five core evaluation dimensions," including accuracy & quality, multilingual support, large document analysis, document creation, and advanced research. It showed substantial improvements in analyzing large documents, achieving a 69.9% win rate. The system also delivered "exceptional performance" in advanced web research and source discovery with a 78.2% win rate. The AI research tool now generates outputs in more formats. You can give instructions to guide the outputs and download the generated files from the studio panel. Here are the newly supported formats: PNG and SVG for data visualizations and charts PDFs, docx, markdown, and text files for documents PNG, JPG, and GIF for images JSON and CSV for structured data XLSX for Microsoft Excel PPTX for Microsoft PowerPoint You can make edits after the outputs are generated. The feature is available globally; therefore, you can provide directions in one language and create outputs in another. Google said that it's also making it easier to get started with a project in NotebookLM. Instead of having a list of sources beforehand, you can even start with loose ideas, and NotebookLM can help build the repository of sources through the chat. For instance, you can find primary sources in other languages to get new perspectives or explore related works of an author. All of these new features are rolling out globally for those who can loosen up their pockets. They are available to users with Google AI Ultra and all Workspace business customers with AI Ultra access. Google has plans to expand them to more users in the future.
