Hi all,

Nice style i downloaded and installed it, looks great.

I have a (probably very nooby) question however: How do you get the "os x style" taskbar to appear on your desktop (as shown in the screenshots). I'm runnin vista ultimate x64 (don't know if this has anything to do with it).

Thanks in advance for the replys!

You haven't quite read the topic and all its posts have you? :p

Its called a dock, kinda like how the mac os has it. I'm using a program called rocketdock which is freeware and it uses very little system resources. RocketDock HomePage

And here are 2 mirrors to the theme:

Rapidshare

MegaUpload

Lol, Resident one post wonder

Nice revision, thanks. Strange how the progressbars in firefox are still green

i thought it was depending on the firefox screen itself? anyway ... i will check these days if i can fix it somehow ... :)

my latest progress:

desk2hy3.th.jpg

i made the taskbar a bit less transparent and you get the look which you can see in the screenshot without adjusting colorpres, means you won't lose any window-transparency.

pls. read "how to install.txt" file in the .rar for instructions.

Thanks for alert !!!

uh what's the problem?

there is a txt file in the first .rar file, i decided to leave it out in the latest one because some steps have become obsolete and i thought everyone would know the rest.

here it is basically:

copy aerodiamond-folder (which contains aerodiamond.msstyles file and a folder "\shell\normalcolor\shellstyle.dll) to %windir%\ressources\themes

doubleclick on aerodiamond.msstyles new window will appear, try to chose first "aero" style in the list (not the 2nd one selected by default) - if it doesn't work, chose the 2nd one (selected by default)

you'll find the wallpaper in the aerodiamond0_3.rar btw.

Copy Animation and sidebar as it says in how to install:

untitlednb9.jpg

The Sidebar doesn't look that much good but the skin is excellent. I got bored of the green progressbar. BTW in firefox using this theme, the browsing progress and download progressbars are green. Would you happen to know of a cure for that?

Nice dock. Which one is that?

I've put the folder AeroDiamond in C:\Windows\Ressources\ and double clicked the .msstyle but still only see one Windows Aero in that list. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

did you patch vista for using customized visual styles?

The taskbar and the sidebar don't change color/style for me...any clue why?

the taskbar should change the color/style as it does here and for many others (hopefully  ). the sidebar style can only be changed due an extra style - which comes with the first aerodiamond.rar and i added an extra dl link today so you can just grab the sidebar skin there.

Sorry if this is already getting annoying but Firefox doesn't like your theme recoloring much

do you mean the green progressbar? it's firefoxs "problem" not one of the windows style. :shiftyninja:

where i can fin a weather forecast gadget?

check out first post please.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
