I knew it was going to be StarCraft from the get go. I gotta say though, I am not that impressed with the media they released so far... I mean, look at whatever Command and Conquer was closest to 1998, and compare it to Tiberium Wars today. How much that series has evolved in every aspect is unbelievable. But StarCraft II just looks like... StarCraft re-skinned into 3D.

I love you Blizzard! I played all your games and words can;t express how much I enjoyed them. I lived almost 2 years in WoW, great game, but I'm glad I'm off it's hook now.

Starcraft is the most logical choice for the next game from Blizzard. It's the only title that got the least attention.

Can't wait fro screenshots and beta testing!

The panel answered questions on numerous topics, including Starcraft II's development history, which Pardo expained "started shortly after Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne" back in 2003. According to Pardo, the game is "very far along," and that the game is already playable in multiplayer with all three factions. When asked about the release date, Pardo gave the answer you may have come to expect from Blizzard: "The game will be released when it's ready."

Possible release date Q4 2007 ?

At this point, it's too early to provide an initial estimate on the release date. As with all Blizzard games, we will take as much time as needed to ensure the game is as fun, balanced, and polished as possible.

      Yes, exactly what I have been thinking. Don't make the context menu simpler, make it smarter to learn what I actually use. And then, give me the ability to pin settings that I rarely use but need forget where they are.

      Here's how to watch Summer Game Fest 2026 and what to expect from the 2-hour showcase by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June game showcase schedule is packed, and with the Sony event already behind us, it's time for the next major presentation to come in swinging. Later today, Geoff Keighley will be bringing the 2026 edition of Summer Game Fest live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the Summer Game Fest showcase livestream will be kicking off at 2 PM PT | 5 PM ET | 10 PM BST later today, June 5. The jam-packed show is slated to run for about two hours, with platforms like YouTube (4K at 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, or X being available for catching it. Like in previous years, separate streams featuring American Sign Language and Descriptive Audio are available on YouTube as well. Keighley has only dropped a few teasers about what gaming fans can expect to see at the show. This includes a new look at Star Wars Zero Company from EA, a major announcement from Guild Wars developer ArenaNet, more Clutch gameplay, and some sort of Sega presence.       I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.
