[Cancelled] Sarah Connor Chronicles (Terminator Series)

Would of been nice if they explained that, because I don't recall getting the memo for that. Lol.

Budious explained it all. :)

Anyways as for the last episode IT WAS THE BEST ONE SO FAR! I loved it, Summer was SO in character and it was just perfect! :D

As for canceling this show, hell no. Prison Break sucks balls more than TSCC! I loved the first season of PB, but after that it was crap!

Guess I wasn't paying attention. That was bothering me though, glad I know why they stopped doing that date thing though.

i love the new season of SCT it is damn good specially the season premiere episode and just the first 7 to 20mins was damn fine. this weeks episode was nice cause it showed more of summer galu acting skills . now i would imaging all them haters out there who siad SCT would never make it past the first couple episodes are now eating Dirt cause of how popular it is and how good the show really is.

If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely pick PB. The Terminator universe works in movies, not in TV shows. It would be no different than taking your favorite comic book character and making a TV show out of it... it just wouldn't be to its benefit. Well, maybe X-Men since that has such a huge variety of characters compared to the rest of the comic universe, but multiple seasons of, say, Batman? I don't think it could pull off the same quality production that the last two have produced. Instead you would probably see Joel Schumacher crap week in and out, but probably even worse. Still, this show is scraping for ideas to keep it going. A terminator losing its memory and staying at a halfway house? <insert fail pic>

Batman had 3 seasons in the 60's over a 7 year stretch and 120ish episodes and was hugely popular. If it had aired today it would probably be broken up into 6 or 7 seasons. Batman:The Animated Series had 5 seasons and multiple crossovers and stand alone movies. The Batman is on it's 5th season and still going strong. Batman works just fine as a TV show as did the Hulk (5 seasons) and Superman (George Reeves, Lois and Clark, Smallville, animation, ect there must be 50 some seasons of material). No reason why a comic book character can't work on TV.

Seriously, are you comparing live action with anime? Anime is totally different. And the show for 40+ years ago? Hardly a good example (nor would it even make it past the pilot were it to stay in its current form, thus making an invalid example). Again, you can't do it justice by making it a TV show. This show is a perfect example of it. "This week's adventure in Batman" would do it an injustice big time, as I believe Lois and Clark and Smallville have. The biggest reason why comic book characters wouldn't make it into a live action (and serious) show is because of the milking and poor story lines. Again, this show is a perfect example of why they should be made into live action movies.

Quite frankly I'm not a huge fan of Lois and Clark or Smallville nor the original Batman; the Hulk was and is quite good though. However it doesn't matter my own or your opinion. The masses have spoken. Comic book characters have in the past and will probably in the future do quite well on TV animated or live action. No reason why they shouldn't. A comic book is just episodic fiction, the same as TV or even radio was. I don't see poor storylines or even milking it. Is DC just milking the Joker and Batman at this point? Any reasonable person would have just put two in the chest and one in the head by now. The biggest hurdle with live action is special effects and technology is catching up.

'Prison Break' to be saved by 'Terminator' axe?

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has reportedly been blamed by Fox for adversely affecting Prison Break's dwindling US ratings.

"Audiences just aren't responding to the show," a Fox source told website SyFy Portal about Sarah Connor, which is screened at 8pm on Monday nights as a lead-in to the jailbreak drama. "Our biggest surprise is the 18-to-49s [demographic] - those numbers are in the toilet."

The insider added that Fox is likely to axe the Terminator spinoff during its current second season and attempt to salvage Prison Break in another timeslot.

"All I can say is that production will likely stop, and I would think that Fox might try to air some of the episodes already in the can," the source stated. "But I don't know. They don't want to lose Prison Break, so there could be some schedule shuffling in the future."

Fox better not axe Terminator just because Prison Break has past its peak!

My bad, Rappy already posted!

Promo for 2.05 looked good :)

It seems they are casting for 2.12 as well!

:p

It does look a good episode!

I wonder how long it will be until Ellis finds out that the woman he now works for it a terminator!

Look Prison Break was at it's prime a few years ago Fox has a habit of getting rid of good shows for shows that are not good. Terminator is way better then Prison Break. The reason why the shows rating are down is probally due to other shows on other networks shows like Heroes and it is on mondays so monday night football is also on. Fox needs to keep Treminator and axe Prison Break and not the other way around.

about 1 second before she sticks the sharp point of her finger through his head.... its usually a bit of a give away i think ;)

Yeah I wonder tho if he will see her transform by the off chance then think he's doomed! :p

Oh man, I got suspended for my foul mouth so I've had to bite my tongue for some time now. I gotta say the last episode and the upcoming one were/look fantastic. I really like how they told the story about how Cameron got captured by John in the future as we already saw her in the future reprogrammed. In the next episode I like how you get to see how John becomes the super soldier Bale is going to be. After seeing T2 and T3 I never had a feeling John was qualified as a soldier, at least in this series he's young enough not to look like a sissy, no excuses for Nick Stahl however. Its nice to see them filling in some gaps in the story line between films. For while it seemed that they were just going to make up characters and events that had no relation to anything in the story line, just things that would make sense in the terminator world. I am curious what they plan on doing with Cameron's character as she seems to have taken on the other girl's personality. After all isn't the last thing she can remember her first mission? If that's the case I'm going to be pretty ****ed they are bringing back the "killer cameron" after what, two episodes? If she isn't then wtf was that whole episode about and how did she "fix" herself. Regardless I was plenty happy for more Summer screen time, she's been getting shafted so far this season. Shame it isn't by me ;)

As far as the cancelation goes, I think thats a bit extreme, why wouldn't they just swap the time slots and see if ratings improve. I don't think blaming another show is the problem. Prison Break has gone progressively downhill after Season 1, they should really blame the writers. Having said that though, I wouldn't say its entirely their problem, there's only so much you can do, it should have remained a mini series like Band of Brothers.

I wondered where you have been in this thread :p

Yea, I've been reading them and making my post in a text file lol. Its been killing me. I think its also worth mentioning Stargate Atlantis Season 5 was off to a slow start, but has gotten quite good in the last few episodes. Its understandable Terminator Season 2 would have a slower start especially with 20+ episodes. Canceling it before its mid season is dumb. Hopefully Fox isn't that stupid.

And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. Windows 11 version 26H2 is now official. Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Tree View is finally available in version 4.1.4, allowing you to quickly browse deeply nested folders without leaving the main view. In addition, the update improved the Windows Fonts folder, allowing you to preview each font without opening the default viewer. Rufus, another useful Windows 11 utility, also received a notable update. Version 4.15 arrived as beta with important fixes for silent Windows 11 installation. It also includes patches for ARM-based Windows PCs, OneDrive removal improvements, and more. This device has an Apple Watch-like dial for page turning, frontlight adjustment, and more. Software is simple and no-nonsense, but it also lacks some useful features and customization. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, they also had to acknowledge the Eliminator CR-farming exploit and shut down the online mode temporarily. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers. Those include EA Sports FC 26, Junkster, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Abyssus, RV There Yet?, and more. Some existing games are leaving the catalog, so be sure to check out the full list here. New games are also available for GeForce NOW subscribers, and they include Embers of the Uncrowned Demo, Aphelion, Megastore Simulator, OPERATOR, Citizen Sleeper, and more. Rockstart Games had plenty of GTA-related news this week. For one, the company gave GTA V players another free update. Those still playing the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are no longer required to pay $40 to upgrade to the latest-gen version. More importantly, Rockstar Games revealed the GTA VI cover art and announced the preorder date. The Epic Games Store is giving away two games: Citizen Sleeper and Roboeat.
